The moment I stick in my card in the machine, my host will ultimately make her way there to say hello. In other casinos, some other host will eventually make his/her way there to make introductions and ask if there's anything I need. When I'm doing the degenerate gambling thing, that's fine and I'm more than happy to engage in this song & dance. Other times, I'd rather dispense with all of this and just have a good time and enjoy the people I'm there with.
100%. but theo is more than a gentlemens agreement. its a clearly defined expectation. otherwise ur overcomped. and hosts will only pretend to be your friend unless you bring numbers back up.

i dont get it. if you play at that level, how are you treated at MGM vegas? why would you be concerned about hyatt noir? ur host should pretty much handle everything. many high level MGM plats get treated like noirs within reason. i guess there are certain multipliers and published benefits, but if your play is high enough, you can negotiate w/ casino executives and insist on your preferences being met.

Yes, true. I've had the same host since at or around 2006 or 2007? Back then, we were actually kinda young and neither of us ever thought that so many years later that she hasn't flamed out and I haven't run out of money. While it certainly isn't a friendship of the real kind, there is very good working relationship and, I'd like to think, a genuine liking and appreciation for one another.

Because of that history, I could ask her for, more or less, anything for a trip. But, as you've saliently observed, if I don't produce the agreed upon level of theo, she may not even take my phone call next year. And, that's ok--one of the things I like most about her is that you always know where you stand.

Regrading Noir and theo, I was gifted Noir four or five years ago by my uncles host. I didnt play and spend much back then, I believe just a Gold. Host gave me Noir hoping I gamble like my uncle. So, I know its possible to get Noir without having high levels of spend/gamble, at least back then.

I recall one of our clients (technically, limited partners) from SE Asia was a huge gambler, a true whale. His niece and sis-in-law were all gifted Noirs and received the full suite of perks. Of course, this was a while ago and before the era of matches.

I just emailed my concierge. Currently a Globalist with 50ish nights and 120k base points, and earned MGM Platinum. Will report back.

Pretty close, it's a hair under 1 in 650k. I've had 5 or 6 dealt The only combo I haven't hit yet is to throw away all 5 and get a royal on the redraw.

Holy sh*t!!!! Ok, guys, all y'all fellow degenerate gamblers hiding or something?! Unbelievable! I've yet to get one even after 4 out of 5 countless times. First Matt, now this. I've never been this stunned on a forum in my life.

Now, if js1993 ever returns from his crusade in Omni, we can congregate in Sin City and just have a blast!

Holiday Gift Shoppe weekend would probably be a good time for a Hyatt/MGM/FT meetup

Speaking of HGS, any one understand how points are earned? Per MGM...

MGM Rewards Members receive 100 Gift Points for every $1 SLOT DOLLAR earned playing slots, video poker machines or Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) and earn Gift Points for Table Games play based on game type, average bet, and length of play at any MGM Rewards Destination nationwide all year long.

Per my win/loss to-date, I have about $30k of coin-in. And I have about 11k of HGS points. Is this right?

Depending on the games you play, sounds about right. Not really easy to earn a lot of HGS points.

Hah, you're dating yourself! I am 36, was thinking you might be in your 50s. I was going to suggest we connect in Vegas at some point, but if I'm running with 20-somethings, you may not be able to keep up!

Okay, I retract what I said to Visconti. Let's get this DO going. The only problem is HGS weekend at Bellagio is Thanksgiving weekend, probably no good. But it's December 2-4 at Aria, and Bellagio could still be the base camp for pool cabana and so on. Interest level?

have a nice flight. hopefully u were upgraded to J. unless u already booked J/F. very happy to hear about your experience with your friends. please keep us posted if such treatment continues. and i totally agree. with that level of service, i wouldnt be concerned about comps. i would be very happy with spending huge money at MGM if life became very relaxing during my stay.
Interesting info. The branding on the welcome letters was Chairman's something or other because that's how they brand the VIP experience for the category of suite I booked (and the lounge itself is called the Chairman's Lounge). So, nothing to do with this Chairman's Noir card. And thanks, I always try to confirm J on Vegas trips rather than playing the upgrade roulette. Nothing worse than leaving Vegas broke and in the back of the bus!

yes. in general, MGM is not bound by any rules. it does whatever it wants to grow its brand and network. ive seen noir given out many times. IMHO, the worst is when "influencers" are given noir as some type of marketing strategy, but nothing seems to come out of it vs those putting in "real money".

Not a huge deal if it doesn’t happen, it’d be nice if it did for the VIP Treatment. I believe Cosmopolitan has some special lines and treatments for Marriott top elites, hoping either they or MGM do something directly for Globalists someday.

appreciate the DP. but im confused. arent you noir already from ur uncle? did u lose it? many people have been very curious about the hyatt noir selection criteria. the concierge DP seems reliable. please let us know if you ever hear back because getting MGM plat with the new requirements will take some effort. but at least now we are closer to some answers.

EDIT: i feel stupid now. i just re-read ur post. what you meant was ur current hyatt status. not the concierge giving you hyatt noir selection criteria. haha. nvmd. my bad.
