There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

The cancellation rules are identical to those shown for cash bookings. It's difficult to see how they would apply cancellation rules like these to a reward booking:
CANCELLATION POLICY:
30PCT DEP-CXL BY 2PM 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL TO AVOID 100PCT FEE

Or this (for Paros):
Cancellation Policy
Cc Gtd-Cancel 2pm 14days Prior-Penalty Fees Vary

In the first case are they saying I will lose 30% of my points if I cancel before 30 days prior to arrival and 100% of my pints if I cancel thereafter? In the second case what does "Penalty fees vary" mean in the context of points. BTW nowhere on the Hyatt web site are those penalty fees shown.

ETA: I see the cancellation rules given when I access my booking online say: "Deposit Required By March 1, 2019 Deposit By Credit Card Required 30 Percent Of 4 Night(S) Deposit Will Be Charged To Credit Card". So even more cash specific.

It also says that cancellation cannot be done online.

When you book an award stay, 100% of the points are pulled from your account, so in effect, you are making a deposit. Regarding the 14 or 30 day cancellation period, if you fail to cancel in the required time frame, yet no-show for your stay ... you may want to read What happens if you don't show up for a nonrefundable award booking?

yes, you do, but ONLY if booked via hyatt.com (not directly). Be aware that rates are higher (I paid a 30% premium over the SLH rate).

I wrote a review here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyat...er-thread.html

This is very smart strategy from Hyatt. There are many Hyatt loyalists that want to hit 55 nights a year, and probably don't even check the competing rate at SLH.com.

There are some people that are so loyal, that they may be willing to pay extra for the stay credit

I thought it would be a good idea to start posting the Review Master Threads in the wiki, else we'll lose the overview - I know I saw some more...but cannot find them...
@bcosinteno, I hope you don't mind me hijacking your wiki for this.

FYI, I updated my map with the last update. Now counting 119 of 319 in Europe. I noticed that some new SLH hotels directly got added to WoH as well.

Yes, if price premium is acceptable. There are many locations without WoH presence at all. It is good to have an option.

Then, don't book it. I found some with around 20% premium which is acceptable for WoH credit. It can also be good redemption values for high end properties. 40K WoH points for rooms selling at EUR 1,000+ is a decent deal.
