Just called the hotel and they said that there's no tequila on property whatsoever. Can this possibly be true?

Thanks!

HDMI Input

Has anyone ever tried changing the HDMI input on the TV at this hotel?

I know at many Hyatt hotels you are able to change the input (HDMI 2, etc.) to access external devices, however at the Ziva Cancun we were unable to... wondering if anyone has tried this here.

Thanks!

Don't know what TVs they use but I usually can figure out how to change inputs by using buttons on a side of a TV (sometimes, it's a joystick). Many hotels have remotes which don't allow input changes so have to do it the hard way.

I'm here at the Zilara side and you can change inputs in my room at least. Inputs look easily accessible on the back of your TV

I have a couple of silly questions perhaps! First, I read somewhere that the Zilara includes all tips/gratuities, so no tipping on the property? Second, is the resort phone number considered US / toll free or international rates would apply? Thank you!

It is a tip inclusive resort however, they will accept tips if offered. That said, I find a very small percentage even offer so there is no need.

It is an International call and international texting.

Feel free to message me with any questions, I am a Ziva/Zilara specialist

In spite of any official policy, tipping was very common and seemed expected. I suggest you take a stack of $1s and $5s, as you will go through them.

ive stayed at this property three times. Tips are NOT expected. Just because the service at this property is exceptional does not mean that they are looking for tips.

Does Hyatt Platinum status do you any good at the Zilara/Ziva properties?
Thanks!
I've stayed at the Ziva Cancun 4 times in the past 18 months, and was considering Rose Hall for my next vacation. Rose Hall prices appear more than double that at Ziva Cancun, is there really that much of a difference ? (I have always booked the Club at around $330 per night for 1 person). Rates at Rose Hall seem to be upwards of $700 per night!

Cancun is a new property to Hyatt and they are currently running a 55% off special, thus the large difference in rates.

If you aren't using a travel agent, you may want to check with one. We often have unpublished specials we can offer and little extras with each booking (like including Club Mobay in Jamaica!)

Thanks for the quick response, I generally book directly with Hyatt.com and have never used a travel agent-- but then again my trips are usually just for one or two nights, so not sure if a TA would be able to assist. (Also I book my flight directly on UA).

We work with all different length trips (and with or without air). Some incentives are only available for 3 nights or more but it never hurts to ask an agents

Club Mobay arrival service is a joke. Also the Club Mobay departure lounge at MBJ is beyond disgusting.
