Since your paying for 2 rooms you should inquire about the larger suites that they have which are beachfront and have connecting rooms. Maybe paying for 2 rooms and using a dsu they can upgrade you for free or a additional fee. Also those suites come with a beach hut.

I've never had luck with reasonable upgrades in similar situations. I've been offered the suites above the Family Suite for no less than $700/night (in addition to the base rate I was already paying).

We were able to book two family suites which were directly across from each other (30 ft walk in front of elevators in between).

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Not having much luck with hotel, unfortunately. They did offer a larger suite, but at a rate about $1200, which doesn't work for us.
Wondering if there's a room right next to the suite on the same side of the hall, even if not connecting? If so, maybe I can buy a baby monitor or something just so I can check in with boys in middle of night.

My situation was similar- I had paid for three rooms, used DSUs for two of the three, yet the upgrade price was an additional $700/night.
When I had two rooms, both w/DSUs, the offer was $1100/night.
There are rooms next door to the family suites, but I'm not sure how comfortable I would be with leaving kids on their own and having to chose between having them deadbolt from the inside and potentially having an access issue or not engaging the deadbolt so I could still access the room.

Does Hyatt Aruba allow 3 Adults, a toddler (3 year old), and an infant (below 1 year old) in a room? I see to be getting conflicting information. Website won't allow me to book for 5. I emailed Hyatt conceirge says it is okay, as base room is 4 adults. I got DSU, but it looks like I won't be able to use it for this coming January booking.

Heading to the Hyatt with my two adult kids 19 and 21. Called and they said the Executive Suite was open for 40,000 per night. They said it was a King and a pullout. I dont think the two boys would be ok on a pullout.. I was told they don't offer rollaways at this hotel. Has anyone had luck getting a rollaway?

Having said that, I have stopped staying at the Hyatt in Aruba and stay at the Renaissance. The beach at Hyatt is super crowded and only so-so. The pool/palapa situation is ridiculous. Private island at Renaissance and much cheaper has been the perfect solution for my last three visits to Aruba!

Was just going to post exactly the same thing - completely agree.

Copper Steve- thanks we are been to Aruba 30+ times so we know what we are getting into with the beach etc. Just normally dont stay at the Hyatt.. but decided this time to around to change it up since it only for 4 nights. Glad you enjoyed the Renaissance have not given that a try but maybe one time without the kids.

Thanks... Decided for a quick long weekend to Aruba just because the Jetblue points were so cheap at 11000 per person. It would cost 1000 per night to upgrade to a two bedroom. Maybe it comes does to an air mattress
