Just about to book this Hotel using a DSU. We will be 4ppl in the Suite, I am Diamond member, does anyone know if they will give us Diamond benefits (lounge, breakfast) for all 4 of us?

It's a pretty crappy lounge.... But you will get access for 4.
But the other 2 will be sleeping on the floor/couch? The standard suites really are not suitable for 4 in my opinion...unless they are small children.

lounge is keyed access just get 4 keys at check in no problem. Your breakfast is served in lounge.
Diamonds have access to use spa facilities. We use steam room a few days last trip.

My parents are looking to stay at this resort in September and I was wondering if anyone has any insight on the Regency club at this location. Is it worth the extra points each night? What alcohol is included at night? Their website leads me to believe its just wine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looking at this property for a future vacation (Jan 2016) and I have no history with Hyatt at all.
On the booking site it states that only standard rooms are available for 25k points; find it hard to believe that there aren't any other options with points?
Going to get the Hyatt card for night certs and then use UR for the rest.
What are chances for upgrade availability for a non diamond?

Great Property!
Just returned with the family from our second visit here and I continue to be wholly impressed with all aspects of this hotel. Just to name a few:
* best hotel lobby ever. Fully open, breezy, great view.
* best hotel on the island, besting the Ritz by miles. Not even a question.
* common areas, foliage, grounds are immaculately groomed with mature palms, Plumerias, bouganvillas
* Everything is OPEN. This is not typical in the Caribbean. This includes the casino, high-end jewelry shops (2), novelty store, deli/grocery store, juice bar, pool bar, sunset pier, beach bar, water slide, kids club.
* Excellent beach, lots of activity but doesn't feel crowded.
* Tons of repeat customers. Spoke with one lady who was coming to Aruba for 25 years straight, another family who had nearly the entire top floor of this hotel coming for 23 years.
* Reliable weather. Most consistent sun I've seen in the Caribbean.
* Love the constant breeze. This is a MAJOR plus. 90 degrees, direct sunlight, and you don't sweat? Amazing.
Some things they could improve on:
* Concierge never replied to my emails.
* Getting ahold of the front desk is a challenge. Got VM 4 out of 5 attempts.
Bottom line: if they improve the front desk service this hotel could be a "Grand" label easily, but either way, one of the best family hotels on the planet in one of the best places on earth.

Has anyone here been upgraded to a Cayena Suite or above?
My other question is, how does the family suite balcony (size, view) and general size of the room compare to the sunset suites?
Thanks in advance

The family suites don't have a balcony.... Only the suites/room at the beach end of the property have a balcony that's of any use. So try to get a sunset if you don't mind that it's one big room, I liked having the balcony and a view way better.

Yes, we were very lucky to receive the Governor's Suite during one of our stays here (thanks to our amazing Virtuoso advisor!).

I really love the Hyatt Aruba. The food is great, the grounds and location are fantastic. This is still one of my favorite Hyatt's with memories going back 10 years.
Without kids, if you can get the sunset suite, go for it!!
