I had a sandwich (delicious, apparently prepared fresh) and +0,5 had some fries. Regarding drinks, I don't know what you could order, we just helped ourselves to softdrinks from the fridge.
I didn't expect anything better than this. It is really sad, almost off-putting. CR is doing so poorly when it comes to the last impression, let alone charging $85+ pp for this - to put it politely - stuff. But hanging out at MLE is not really the better option, is it??

And yes, what's in the fridge is all they offer as drinks. Ok, coffee and tea as well. But no bubbly, beer, wine or anything "fancy".

Once my gf came out, they took us down right away so we had the place all to ourselves for about 10 minutes to get some nice pictures.
Awesome! Thanks for the post and glad you had a good time there. Since you just got back, I'm assuming all is fine and the the SOE is not an issue?

I think that's because it's not a resort island. Shakira law and all. It's the same way in the F/J departure lounge.

I thought they no longer allow Diamond/Gold access to the Conrad lounge for free anymore, and it will charge $80 per person? is anyone there or recently there chime in on this?

Yes, may be you're right and sharia is the reason for not serving alcohol. But this is not what really bothers me, the overall lounge experience is no good at best.
What I learned, they gonna open a new lounge as soon as the construction outside will be finished. TMA is moving their maintenance facility right there.

edit:
regarding F/C departure lounge I'm not 100% sure, I think I've seen beers in the fridge? Didn't really pay attention, so might be wrong.

Since Jan 1 no more free lounge access on departure for DIA, Gold never did get it for free. It's $50++ without food option and $85++ buffet included.

I just booked a room for April and this info was in the confirmation email.

No mention of breakfast. Is that still included for Diamonds?

Just guessing, but since Golds also get breakfast, it wont be listed as a "Diamond benefit".

Is this the Conrad lounge at the airport in Male? If so, it's a bit shocking that HHonors members are being charged.
