Hi Mikem,
If Heathrow express is the quickest way to the Metropole.
If your daughters are under 16 then they trave free when travelling with you.
If not then you cab buy a "Group Weekender ticket" which gives 50% of the single ppprice of the four tickets ie you effectively pay for only 2 people.
The tube can be long and packed ie over an hour to Paddington and having to change onto the District line.
See
http://www.heathrowexpress.com/hex_h...ying_index.htm
for futher details.
Hope this helps

Simply call the hotel and ask for Alex Dixon if you need a known contact - even without calling you shouldn't have any problems at all with upgrade.
Ask for the new wing, rooms are larger and more modern - check previous threads for all details.

Be aware: Stays at London Metropole not posting
Since the beginning of the year I have stayed at the Metropole approximately 11 times. Not one of my stays have posted automatically. A quick call or email to the helpful people in Glasgow has resulted in them being posted but I was getting a bit irritated in having to do it. I wrote to both the hotel GM and HH and asked why this was happening. I received a letter from the hotel GM apologising and saying that since the beginning of the year the automatic download to Dallas had not been working and all stays were being transferred manually. Obviously this process is not working. As an IT Consultant I'm surprised it has taken so long to fix.
If you have stayed at the Metropole this year check your accounts.

Has anyone had a Metropole stay automatically posted? My stay in June last year was never posted and I finally had to fax my receipt into the Dallas office. At the time I was told the computer system from England didn't post regularly to the American system. (Sure! And I only have 20 years experience in IT. )

Perhaps this is (belated) cosmic approval for my career choice...
