What about the Trafalgar, especially if you can get a room overlooking the Square?

Doubletree Tower of London or Hilton Canary Wharf
I need to stay in London for approximately three weeks. I'm looking at the Doubletree Tower of London or Hilton Canary Wharf as they are both in proximity to places I will need to work during the period. I've stayed many times at Hilton Canary Wharf and have never been disappointed. I have never stayed at the Doubletree. HCW is about ten pounds more. I am inclined to stay there because of my previous experiences but would be interested in hearing from others particularly regarding a long-term stay.
Doubletree seems a little less inconvenient. The closest laundrette seems to be 1.5 miles away). HCW doesn't have fridges in the room but, on my last long-term stay there, they hooked me up with one.
Any thoughts?! thanks in advance

Hilton Canary Wharf
The lounge is far nicer than the DT and for a long 3 week stay I would personally find the Canary Wharf area better for variety of restaurants in the nearby area.
As a Hilton you should get better range or services and staffing and as you mention the wash facilities are closer then this seems to tie in nicely.
Both are quite good but if it was me, HCW.
Enjoy your time in London and do let us know afterwards how you found the choice you made please!

I second BotB's opinion. I have stayed in both 10+ times and whilst DT TofL rooms are new and fresh and Natural Kitchen is one of the best hotel restaurants in London, the service is irratic and many of the rooms are small compared to HCW and face inward over an atrium. I'd choose HCW any day based on rooms, facilities and service.
If similar price, you may want to consider Hilton Tower Bridge as well. 7 minutes from CW on the Jubilee Line and a swift walk across London Bridge from the City. It's very similar to HCW.
Enjoy your stay in London and clocking up all those HHonors points.

Were it me, I would stay a week at DT and follow with 2 weeks at HCW. I don't mind moving and this way you would get to sample the DT. If you like it, see if they will continue the rate and cancel the HCW reservation.

I would split that to 21 stays, in case short of a Diamond card . You can´t go much wrong with either one of the triplet mentioned above. A week at each venue?

Yes, if you wanted to hotel hop to increase the number of stays to reach Gold/Diamond, this would be the time to do it. Canary Wharf is a few stops on the DLR though hauling luggage from the hotel to the DLR stop is a challenge.

I would generally echo the sentiments though would add there is a nice size fridge already in the room at the DT.
Taking the DLR to canary wharf is super simple so I wouldn't be concerned about the distance.
Generally I find the Hilton CW to be higher end in finishes, services, etc - the rooms feel cleaner and quieter.
Is it just me though or are both hotels constantly freezing in the rooms? I have had to request space heaters twice in the Hilton CW because it is so cold even after turning the temperature all the way up on the thermostat (which I am suspicious does nothing)

Hilton just made a number of Doubletree hotels available in London. They bought another chain and rebranded them. There's one near Victoria station, one near the Tower and one in Westminster.
I suggest you reead a lot of reviews and pick a location you that suits your price point.
