Good Diamond treatment, spectacular breakfast aside?

I had already stayed at several Conrads before I visited the Conrad Algarve - all nice stays, but not exceptional like the Conrad Algarve. The Conrad Algarve inspired me to start collecting Conrads. I made it to 23 Conrads before 2020, a year when I had hoped to reach 30. Maybe by 2022....

Yes, in my experience. Upgrades when available, welcome amenity, waived spa facility fee, complimentary cocktail making class or tea ceremony, complimentary bottle of wine with dinner, etc.

Yes, super treatment. I asked about an upgrade, and the hotel was full. However, they said they could upgrade me in two days and they did. I got a free cocktail mixology class. They also took a dinner meal off that I just hated the taste of it. The staff always asked if anything needed to be done, and they always left two pasta de nanas in the room every day. They found me a Conrad bear wearing an Algarve hoodie, and two Conrad ducks. For breakfast, there must have been 8-10 kinds of juices, countless pastries, at least 4 different kinds of yoghurt, 3 kinds of granola, lots of mixings in for yoghurt, all sorts of hot foods! I concentrated on juice, yoghurt mixed with granola and mixings and a few pastries. The only issue I had was getting ice. There is no ice machine, and I had an injured ankle. I actually asked the bartender to give me ice one night after I waited over an hour for ice. A few of the rooms actually have pretty big refrigerators in them. I think they let Diamonds use the spa facilities for free-but I could be wrong. I was supposed to go back this past fall, but that got cancelled. And of course, the Algarve coast itself is a spectacular sight!

Just as background, I've been to the Waldorf Astoria in NYC when I ran the NYC marathon, the downtown NYC Conrad which I Liked, and the Hong Kong Conrad which I also liked. But none of them remotely come close to the Algarve!!!

There are four pools: Sereno (for adults), Dado (families), indoor (actually open air, but covered and accessed from indoors), and spa (restricted to spa guests). All are lovely. Both Sereno and Dado offer poolside food and beverage service.

There is no club lounge, but as Diamond member have been invited to weekly (?) manager's reception on Gusto patio with complimentary beverages and canapes. A nice experience with waiter service and affable staff mingling.

Sounds good, never knew about the Managers reception, did you receive an invite to that on arrival?

Yes. As I recall, returned to room one evening to find invitation letter.

Osaka Conrad is amazing, that lobby reveal literally made me gasp, same thing from the room.

I was really impressed with Conrad Punta Mita when we spent a week there in December. To be fair, it felt like there were 3x more employees than guests and the service was amazing, so Im sure that part will change as things get back to 'normal'.

Agreed on Osaka (and it seems pretty much everyone else does too).
