Just booked my next stay for Jan, and saw this.. From the T&C, it doesn't require registration before booking. so I should be good. but just want to double check from past similar promotion is it the case?

normally the Hilton promos indicate in the fine print that you should register before booking in order to qualify, but there are several posts here mentioning that even without registering before, you get the bonus points/miles...

No, they don't actually: it's commonly been a requirement to register for the promo before check in, not before booking. That's the rule for these last three in a row: 3Q12, 4Q12, and 1Q13.

So,as long as you register before your first check out, you should be fine.

Could be that it was like that because it was a different type of promo.
