So I signed up for the double miles with Virgin America. I stayed this last weekend. (I realized this is before the promo period) but I did not get the points I thought I would.
HGI Stay
Base Points= 850 HH
MYWAY preferences Bonus OPTION= 750 Bonus
Gold VIP Bonus - 25% 2013 = 212
Virgin American Double Dip = 250
I am signed up for the Points and Fixed Miles in my preferences. I thought I would get
Base Points = 850 HH
Gold VIP = 212
Virgin American Double Dip = 1000
Am I figuring this wrong?

I don't understand why you thought the standard 250 miles for VA would become 1000. Are you confusing it with the VS standard of 1000?
EDIT: NB - Typo in the above where VA should be VX for Virgin America. Left as is to avoid confusion in the quotes below. Happy for a mod to tidy it all up

And I was a bit confused myself . The airline codes, home territory and earning on Fixed for the non-budget Hilton brands AIUI...
VX = Virgin America, USA (250 points)
VS = Virgin Atlantic, UK (1000 miles)
VA = Virgin Australia, Australia (1000 points)
Terribly confusing for when adding a number at check-in!

Thank you! of course i picked the one with the least amount of earning possibility. Well--at least i didn't go the whole promotion like this, or call Hilton and get mad at them! I love these boards!

No confirmation email for me as expected, but my first stay in the promo period has posted this morning. All correct and with the double points showing.

I signed up for the double point promotion, did not receive a confirmatory e-mail (but when double checking by trying to sign up again, I get the notice, that I am already registered for this promotion). My stay was from 3 Jan to 8 Jan 13 (5 nights). Today points were posted and I received double points for the last night when the promotion begun.
