What is the source for this? I have a CAN (AY97/98) booking for July that still shows as active. Finnair chat says they don't have new information, it's currently marked as operating in the system.

These will officially be revealed tomorrow, and Janica probably knows nothing about them right now. Moreover, AY is slow to cancel upcoming bookings, and your booking will probably show intact for some time ahead even if you and AY know the flights won't operate.

However, after these have been officially published, you might be able to contact AY and reroute. Give Janica a week or so before you call her.

(Janica = nickname for AY customer service)

Thanks. Do you have any information on when the rebooking period will be extended? Currently, we can only push flights back until November?

Any chance of a widebody? With upgrade availability? Confirmable in advance?

Has the official new schedule been posted yet? Nothing yet on Finnair's site. Thanks

No information, sorry. I have the feeling that it might not be extended if countries open up this autumn, but it's just a feeling.

Hmmm, but if they cancel flights in October/November, surely they should allow them to be rebooked until December or next year...?

Thanks! Has anyone seen any award space in their long haul routes yet?

Good to know that we can also rebook our flights until May 2021 now:
https://www.finnair.com/en/flight-in...travel-updates

However:
"It is good to know that if there is no availability in your original fare class for your new flight, you need to pay the fare difference between your original and new flight tickets."

I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Hopefully Asia will reopen to Europe as much as Finnair seems to think. Given what it is like just now in BKK, SIN, and HKG for example, it's a pretty rapid leap to get to allowing Europeans in.

Too bad LAX, SFO and ORD will be gone at least until the EOS of spring 2021. CTS and PUS are perhaps a little bit surprising, but I assume they expect demand will indeed not rebound. The same goes for the US.

Me! Multiple visits planned and booked for 2020-2021. One shan't surrender. However I don't have AY booked for MXP or FCO. That would be too simple. I did actually plan redeeming C with AY, but as usual, no chance until the last minute (T-60). So I do some status credit hoarding instead.
