Lucky You, I just came from RHO and my arms and face are all red. . A real mass tourism.
And RHO flights really are leisure flights. Remember to clap Your hands like other 230 pax do when landing.

Cant make same plane turnaround there. Absolute zoo security upstairs, it took 45 minutes this morning. Be aware.
And lounge AY promised, I couldn't find it. Probably dead.

Mass tourism to RHO by our true HC turnaround king, never thought I'd live to see this day! I guess those semi charters often have stand arrivals etc. - what an excellent setup for those Lumotic BMWs to pick up a few sunburn Lumos from the tarmac...would give a penny or two to see the faces of the Aurinkomatkat group behind!

- There were 2 elites on both flights (me, and a gold somewhere)
- prior to the flights the purser came to talk to me and the family. The other people must have thought I was very important. my better half found it a bit awkward and said: "You fly too much"
- during service the free drinks were pro-actively offered. The guy next to me also ordered champagne, but his face turned red when he had to pay 12€.
Stand arrival and then Lumo transport should indeed be hilarious. However, very unlikely for me to have that happen.

I have to say RHO feels a little like JYV or whatever, with all the Finnish bars, Danny's gig posters scattered around town and the Finnish Lutheran church choir practices. The waiter at my (Greek) restaurant spoke Finnish, too, and it was not just terveterve, he actually spoke it better than many pizzeria owners in JYV do
NoWindowSeat, this lomanoloinen (something like holidayish in English) flight will always arrive at a stand in RHO. It's a very small airport. Btw, I heard the word lomanoloinen once again today when the FA apologized that they don't have any HS on board, only IS. And while I didn't have a purser chat on today's flight, my neighbour (well, the guy in the aisle seat since the middle seat was empty, obviously ), asked for a paper, too, and received a prompt reply of "We'll sell them later for €3". Casper79, I feel you; at the same time I felt a bit embarrassed but also very important
One point to note: they served orange juice free of charge. Is that part of the lomanoloinen concept, too? Can't remember that they would have done it on LPA flights.
OH-LGG, thanks for the tip on long security queues. Were you on the evening flight back home? I'll have to check departures to see how many flights they have at that hour. I'll try and look for the lounge, too, although it's supposedly before security, which makes it sort of inconvenient.

Checked-in passengers must proceed to the Swissport Sales Office located landside opposite Check-in counter No. 30 and a member of staff will provide an escort to the lounge located airside on the 2nd Floor of the Intra Schengen Departure Section after Security.

But according to oneworld.com, the lounge is called Skyserv: https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-...eaccess/RHO/-1 However, it says more or less the same: Checked-in passengers must proceed to the Skyserv Sales Desk located landside opposite Check-in counter No. 21 and a member of staff will provide an escort to the lounge located airside on the 2nd Floor of the Intra Schengen Departure Section after Security.
Wonder if this escort service also means priority security. It's difficult to believe that the escort would stand 45 minutes in line at security.
(And according to the AY website, there's no lounge at RHO.)

Half-dead. There is a lounge, but it took a lot of insistence and persuasiveness and I needed to talk to two agents. But I’m finally here, hooray!
So, the webpage said if you want to go to the lounge, you need to talk to the Skyserv people who’re located opposite check-in desk 21. That’s where I went, except their office was sort of closed. Sort of. There were three people working there, but the blinds were closed. However, an agent appeared. Lounge? She looked perplexed. After consulting her senior colleague and the office next door, she told me the lounge is closed. No, it’s open until 8 pm, I replied. She consulted her colleague again. This went on and on, with her lying that the lounge agent would only be there from 8 pm onwards etc.
Finally, after they understood I’m not going to give up (and just before I was about to give up and ask for their names for a complaint), I received an escort to a special security line (with 0 people before me; it’s apparently only used for lounge access and is located between the two check-in halls), where a male agent, presumably the guy who was supposed to ”come at 8 pm”, was waiting for me. He then took me up to the lounge, which is nothing special. Local beer, wine, soft drinks, juices, water, sponge cake, clingfilm-wrapped sandwiches and wifi.
There are two other people here, too. They entered at the same time with me and are Priority Pass holders. I actually went and asked if they had to battle their way in here, but no, they received the escort without any ado. I guess PP pays better than AY? Or maybe they were my golden key to the Skyserv lounge, who knows…

Flew to MAD and back with the junior and after hearing some recent not so good reviews of the Spanish cabin crews I was positively surprised, on both legs.
Fast, proactive and polite service, main course choice asked first, no comments why or any other recognition, which is totally ok for me. Junior loved the cinnamon rolls on the flight back, a bit too much, even
All in all, well done AY👍

I had wonderful service in J on MIA-HEL, op. by IB, when I spoke Spanish with the crew. My Spanish is terrible, but they sure appreciated my attempts.
