Thanks for the rec. I am waiting for some more plug-ins and other site maintenance to be worked on. I certainly don't know what to do!

Guilty I am- of being jumpy! It's rubbing off on my 19 month old now. Lots of fun!

I totally agree with you however I don't really see a need or place for personal attacks. I've personally never had an issue with what a particular blogger posts or tries to sell. I can choose however if I'd like to continue reading the blogs Ive stopped reading a bunch of blogs where the content completely changed course.

Blogging every day is a ton of work and I do not see why there is an issue with bloggers getting paid with CC links. When the content is only geared to the CCs, that's when the problems arise.

My opinion and others are free to disagree.
I agree, we should never attack the blogger, never ever say things like:"you are too greedy and $%$%$ for providing mediocre links etc etc."

One should strive for civility and point issues, more like: " by the way, [blogger xxxx], there is a much more rewarding offer on XX. Can you check it out and see if your affiliate source can provide you with an updated link?"

I look forward to reading you.

When I had my interview with MMS about my blog, Rom from "Romsdeals" commented, that it's a tough crowd out there. Boy, was he right! Michael W, I agree on Wordpress. I thought maybe it was just me, but I am having a hard time figuring it out. Still don't know how to add Twitter button, my husband is in IT and can't get it to work!!! Oh, and I do sensor comments, if there is profanity or offensive stuff. Though I did let a funny comment about Mennonite miler through, because Amish most likely don't read my blog.
Keep on jumping, that's your niche, man!

Also, crazy question. How do I add my blog to the fine collection of sensor blogs? I can't figure it out, sorry.

You cant edit a wiki with a post count that low.

Also, pardon me for being blunt, but I dont think that the blog is well known enough to be included... Just my two cents, but btw one month on FT and 6 weeks(?) as a blog...

I suppose everyone is an expert these days now

@ Freeloader Oh, OK! I wasn't aware of the fact , that you had to have a certain number of posts. It makes sense. BTW I have been a lurker for about 10 years here. Just came out of my hiding. Maybe that was a mistake. Time will tell.
@ HikerT Aw, that's so sweet of you, honey!

No problem.

It wasnt a mistake to join FT; just wish it would have been sooner. I suppose there is a blog fatigue. If you lurked for 10 years getting info, it would have been beneficial to the whole community if you would have joined and gave back to the community during the last decade.

You see it here now a lot. A lot of long time lurkers only joining to now promote their blog.

Anyhow I hope you stick around long enough on FT to contribute to the community

@ Freeloader You make a valid point. Honestly, I wanted to join many times but was scared of the trolls. But now with my blog, the trolls are a given. So I figured might as well go for it.

Considering the derogatory comments of a personal nature that Ben has allowed to stand, I would be extremely surprised if he edits comments.

(Though I do recall he mentioned that one poster -- 'Frank' -- was now on a blocked list. But even that took about a year!)

@ oliver2002 Yeah, I was told that! Looks like one of my fans has added me to the list, though. I'm not that good at IT (actually very bad) to hack into the system. And yes, I censor and I'm darn proud of it!

What did you write that got censored?

I have written a few pointed comments on various comment sections but have never had them axed by the blog.
I get censored routinely, on FT and other boards. When you speak truth to power, it's an occupational hazard...and if you believe censorship is the enemy, rather than the offensive comments, then you are obligated to stand up and be counted.

I was censored from DL's own SM blog...not for being profane - at least, not to the rest of the world - not for abusing other posters, but for describing DL SM, in their own words , verbatim, as published many times...

...You know.

:-: best in class :-:

For some reason this phrase - even though it was their own propaganda to be begin with - sends their censors into an absolute frenzy. Jeff hates this, and critics of SM obtain a micro-victory every time they write it.

All Stalinist borgs love censorship and will offer excuses and justifications for any amount of it. The most amusing thing is when one censorious apologist turns on another, and all of a sudden, there's mass outrage...the BA board denizens are notorious for this practice.

@ Retailshark I actually haven't had to censor yet, but I will, if I have to. Like I said: profanity, attack on my personal appearance, misogyny comments and so forth will not be tolerated. But I don't plan to censor constructive criticism of my blog or writing style. I think it's a fine line and very much in the eye of the beholder. What may not seem offensive to you, might seem inappropriate to the blogger. But as someone, who got censored in the blog comments section (not for profanity, lol), I understand, why its upsetting to you.
