I wonder what this means for BR?? Too many 777 they have to use it? Is AMS doing better in premium cabins now that's why they are keeping it?
Also.. I would have thought that BR would want to increase its TPE/BKK/AMS after CI made its AMS non-stop, since now only 10x weekly AMS-BKK and should be easier to make some $$.

It's also likely easier from a consistency perspective in offering 3 classes of service to continue operating BR75/76 using a 77W as this flight, together with BR201/202 is used as a TPAC connection.

May also be due to the new TG codeshare on BKK-AMS that they can justify the 77W.

It certainly feels like BR should have ordered more 789. I wonder if they will exercise the remaining 787 options with -9 instead -10.
Some of the older 77W will be return as the lease expires so the 9 abreast 77W (the older ones) will eventually cycle out of the fleet.

For 2020: Plan to increase Seattle back to 2 daily and Chicago to 1 daily. There will be no new destinations for North America.
Clark is being looked at as a new destination to Philippines.
78K may be used on TSA-SHA.

明年還計畫增班至西雅圖和芝加哥,達拉斯、波士頓和華盛頓則會評估拓點。
Plans for increased frequencies to SEA and ORD. DFW, BOS and WAS (IAD) will be evaluated.
至於歐美同樣希望拓點,不過須先取得航權,考慮在達拉斯跟波士頓、華盛頓拓點。
As far as Europe and USA, the hope is to also add new destinations. However, the traffic rights need to be sorted out first. Considering adding DFW, BOS, WAS.
My note: Don't TW-US have open skies arrangement so traffic right is not the problem. Are there slot problems at these airports?
Coolfish's interpretation is that no new North America destinations in 2020. He/she is a lot more plugged in than I.

Yes, I don't understand why there would be any traffic right issues with DFW/BOS/IAD. None of them are slot constrained AFAIK, and there should be reasonable gate availability outside the European flight banks early evening.
