I'm looking for a backup option for QR redemption (that QR are notoriously bad for rerouting) and EK cash fare comes most competitive and they seem to be better for rerouting than God-awful QR. What's the consensus on refund fee waiver for a flight that I book now for departure before 10th March - is it waived or is it per fare rules ($$$)?
See below the link. https://www.qatarairways.com/tradepo...Situation.html. Then click also on the JWC guidelines, that is from last year 18 November 2025. |

Hi! Any tips to reach out to Emirates Customer Service? We have multiple flights that have been cancelled from DXB to Europe since Sunday. We've tried multiple numbers (UAE, UK, USA, SWE etc.), but none of the lines let us even queue. Chat isn't working, X or IG isn't responding. We even went to the airport yesterday, but couldn't find anyone at that time. Unfortunately, we don't have status and these are not J/F tickets. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks!

The press release has been updated to say you can though its all very fast moving (and a missile has just been intercepted heading to Turkey). Though its not 100% clear on the rebooking as it said if affected by cancellations. I would maybe wait also not sure this will be resolved by 27th. We aren't eligible for a refund yet but aren't going anyway and will take the £1,000 hit if needed. Presume if you have taken outbound flight its the inbound that's refunded and presume the £520 that's on receipt relates to outbound as its a max compensation amount.
Are Emirates offering reroutes for flights back to UK with other airlines if safe to do so? - the CAA seems to say flight out must offer but not flight back. |
Emirates idiocy. Flight to IAD cancelled and they will not resume until 15 March. They are willing to book me to ORD but WILL NOT provide the connecting flight to IAD/DCA. This is despite acknowledging that this is in contravention of the terms of contract. They simply say I can then contact customer services for a refund of the domestic ticket.
They do say if I am willing to wait until 15 March then they can get me to my final destination. Rubbish customer care. |

The only waypoints open are ITRAX, SODEX, LABRI and RETAS which all go into Omani airspace.

Does anyone knows how this works? How do they prioritize the passengers?
Emirates continues to operate a limited flight schedule. We are accommodating customers with earlier bookings as a priority on these limited flights. Customers transiting in Dubai will only be accepted for travel if their connecting flight is operating. Please do not go to the airport unless you have been notified directly by Emirates or hold a confirmed booking for these flights. Thank you already for the answer. regards dutch_122 |
My Mum had been stuck on a layover from India since Saturday. She was originally booked to BHX with Emirates.
Against government, airline and my advice, she did go to DXB yesterday, talked her way into the airport and found at check in that there wasn’t even a standby list for the Gatwick flight that was going. She talked them into creating one and putting her at the top. Shortly after, 5 other people arrived and did the same. One hour before departure, all those on standby were given seats and allowed through to get on the flight. She landed safely yesterday afternoon in Gatwick. Hopefully Emirates have implemented standby lists for the flights today, and glad there only ended up being 2 unfilled seats on the Gatwick flight yesterday! Good luck to everyone still making their way home, hope you all have safe journeys. |
