Al Jazeera now reporting all flights suspended till further notice again.

From Emirates website:

All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice.

Please do not go to the airport.

Emirates will share updates when available. We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience.

The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised.

They're transferring some departing pax via bus to a different terminal. Is it to relieve congestion at baggage claim maybe now that all flights are cancelled?

AlwaysOnTheRoad Mar 7, 2026 12:57 am

I am in First lounge Concourse A. Everyone merrily drinking and eating. No word of any cancellations. I believe departures will resume. Passengers applauding down below based on news of boarding... soon but still not happening.

ft101 Mar 7, 2026 1:03 am

Flightradar still showing a few about to arrive but departures seem to have ceased.

AlwaysOnTheRoad Mar 7, 2026 1:04 am

EK website no longer provides status... Sorry, flight status for EK-235 Saturday, 07 Mar 26 is currently unavailable. Not for any flights. They are doing announcements.

justforfun Mar 7, 2026 1:05 am

EK209 to ATH originally at 10:30am just got a new departure time of 13:35 per the gate agent! That's promising!

edit: now 14:40

Moments later, the website now has re-updated again

Emirates has resumed operations. Passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport. This includes customers transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight is also operating.

Customers can check the flight schedule for upcoming flights, as well as book seats to travel.

Emirates continues to monitor the situation, and we will develop our operational schedule accordingly.

We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience. The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised.

What a sh*t show. So much for a "back channel" with Iran.

There is more risk being in the air around Dubai than there is staying on ground/driving to Oman.

Regulatory authorities in other countries should be banning Emirates from flying to their respective countries given they need to fly through an active warzone.

simply because back channels don’t yield immediate results, doesn’t mean they aren’t being used or having any effect.

Now, as he was speaking DXB was attacked, and Qatar issued an alert, and the conditions set by Iran may not be in GCC countries’ control, but let’s see how it pans out.

Spoke to a friend who was in DXB T3 when the drone hit near the perimiter. There was no panic. People were asked to move down to the lower level and when it was cleared they returned to the main concourse.

Incoming flights were stopped for a while, but theyve been told this afternoons flights (his is 2:30pm) will be departing just a bit delayed (his is approx 5pm now).

Im at home in Dubai and life continues as normal. Heard quite a few planes flying overhead earlier diverting into DWC after they had been holding to go into DXB.
