That sucks. Were you rebooked on something else? And was that the WhatsApp chat or regular live chat? Regular live chat still appears closed to me, I also still haven't received a reply on Twitter... Just want to know if I can get a full refund if I request one before my flights are cancelled (they're before March 5, but there's conflicting info on whether the refund they refer to in their travel update is a full refund or a refund according to ticket conditions)

every ticket before mar 20 can request refund or rebook one time without paying it include any price different. if rebook flight was cancel again free of charge rebook or refund will apply again as well

EY 67 is flying to LHR. I was surprised to see it operating given airspace closure. Departed AUD at 14:22 local.

And... EY 41 in air to AMS.

They are both flying east over Oman.

Now a 3rd flight... EY 33 to CDG.

looks like they removed the 5 March date from the updated advisory. Has anyone tried to move a flight up to the 20th date?

I saw this too, and wanted to be cheeky and try it with the chat, but didn't want to bring attention to it -- I have an one-way inbound to DXB on 8 March that I don't really need to use, since I never made it out of DXB in the first place.

Now I regret not requesting a refund while the March 5 date was still in the advisory… Was going to wait until tomorrow so that my flight would officially be cancelled, but am now seeing reports of crew being told to prepare for work again? I still don’t know whether they offer(ed?) a full refund when the date was still in the advisory, but I went ahead and sent the refund form just now. Figured I’d at least have a better chance at getting one now than if my flight on Wednesday suddenly ends up not being cancelled. Would really suck if they don’t give a full refund though, all other major airlines are handing out full refunds.

Well this is interesting!

Have little hope my Newcastle flight will go ahead (cannot get hold of EK to try the re-route and the costs of alternative carriers are insane) but still more hope than I had yesterday

Latest update states they will be operating limited flights starting tonight.

So this is like a First In First Out scenario?

EK225 was one of the first few flights that returned to Dubai.

If it’s one of the first few out it may either land very early or land on its scheduled arrival time.

I’m waiting for more details for my mom & as of now my dad hasn’t booked contigency options and his flight’s on Saturday 7 March.

The good news both their bookings are direct from Emirates’ website
