I do not recall if it was the same form that
was submitted to gate agent at check in at JFK.
Arrived to DXB, there are COVID 19 registration desks set up in front of immigration.
At registration desk the staff will ask for your passport or UAE resident card, telephone # , flight #, etc and will hand you a test bag then you'll proceed to immigration officer.
After Customs clearance, you get in line for the COVID 19 swab test.
As you exit the testing area, submit the form to the exit agent that you received from cabin crew and completed then proceed to collect your luggage.
There is no fee collected for COVID-19 test at DXB airport.
Testing Staff advised testing result should be ready by 72 hours.
As a tourist, is required to self quarantine until the test results is released.
I had downloaded the DXB covid 19 smart app and inquired aiport staff about not having UAE telephone #.
Well, I got the merry go around, one suggested I utilize a friend/relative telephone #.
The other suggested to write on the form that I do not have UAE # and advise I prefer results to be emailed.
Then finally a staff member gave a print out of how to obtain test results.
The test result can be obtain at the DHA website, you'll need to download the app .
Click on "traveler" and enter your date of birth and passport #.
Thank you for this report.
While you are awaiting the test result - Are you allowed to stay in any hotel of your choice? Or are there restrictions about where you can stay for those 2 or 3 days?
(maybe this was answered upthread...but didn't notice)

You can stay at a hotel of your choice as long as you mention the name and details of your stay on the declaration forms.

By the way, one of the questions on the forms was how many person in the hotel/villa/flat?
I've written 1 + myself = 2 .
My accommodation is at flat and I've completed self quarantine at flat.
Another question, if I am able to self isolate at wherever I am staying, I answered, "No."
at DXB airport, I do believe they did glance to make sure all questions were answered and did not asked for any clarification

That is quite good! So, people can choose any hotel they want.
(of course, i am positive the hotel will and should know that the visitor has to quarantine till their test results are known).

2 daily A380s to JNB from 1 September? Maybe pigs may fly, but any scheduled flights to JNB by then are less likely.

Haha fair call out! But given the adjusted frequencies for a lot of the routes I imagine this is close to what they are planning. SA is eyeing September to reopen at the moment but who knows with certain lockdown measures being reinstated

The A380s have been showing for a while on lots of routes. They get subbed out a few weeks before departure to a B777.

MAN was 3 x A380 from 1st August for a while.

Edit - looking at the new list, it looks more realistic. With fewer A380s than originally planned.

And now been removed again... Only a handful of routes are now showing the A380 for September.

A380 pushed back until October on most routes.

Im guessing its due to the Covid test requirement, bloody annoying as I booked flights last week for in September, hoping they have a schedule change to get a free refund as at present its either voucher or keep your ticket.

Does anyone know if EK actually did start their services to Addis Ababa and Entebbe on Saturday. Also Lagos on 15 July?

It's hard to tell by interrogating dates on EF. There certainly don't seem to be any passengers to ADD and EBB in the immediate future.
