Can you nominate yourself to take a later flight in that instance?

The only later flight with F to BKK is 6 hours later. The difference between J and F is not worth sitting 6 hours in Dubai Airport for IMO.

Can't copy and paste in mobile but it's F4 A4 J3 and Y-B9 all else 0. B is one of the lowest Flex fares I believe.

Flying SIN/CMB EK349 on 25th. Flight at present is F4 A4 J7 C7 I7 O7 P4 Y1 E1 R1 W1 M1B1 U1 K1 H0 Q1 L0 T0 V0 X0

What does it look like? A full/overbooked Y? Business seems relatively light?

Thanks

'Just received an email offer for 263 SGD or 16900 miles (usually 26000). Is this miles upgrade still eligible for op-up?

Suggestions would be great, since the last couple of times I took the offers, I would have been eligible for op-up anyways. So don't know if I should just wait for that. Gold on Y Flex.

Thanks

if you want to fly in J take the upgrade, only way to be sure. How do you know you were "eligible for op-up" last time? Virtually everyone is eligible.

Eligible in the sense, the CCU bound flights are not status heavy, and pax are 90% on saver tickets. Last few times there were 10 op-ups minimum and most without status on flex/saver tickets. Checked with gate agents, they were nice enough to tell me.

And afaik, CMB is a leisure destination?

Well, presumably everyone has different reasons for going to CMB, but I'm Gold and always on Flex and don't always bag an op-up on India flights, though I do quite often. Either way, for 17k miles I'd be inclined to take it as it's one of the longer flights. BOM is only 19k miles to upgrade normally but that isn't worth it for just over 2hrs in the air IMHO

Agreed. This one is about 3hr 35min block time. I guess I'll take it.

My flights for Sunday state.

and

No, you are not.
They are selling at least 9 seats in Y, most likely a lot more as they are prepared to sell them as H bucket (I’m not sure if this is still Flex or already Saver but certainly a relatively cheap fare). And they will be offering email upgrades to J as well for both flights (these book into ‘P’ bucket)

reigndrop Apr 25, 2018 9:56 am

Any chance someone can check EK75 on May 1? (DXB-CDG)

Im J on Flex Plus and am Plat... thank you!

I see, where I went wrong was that I thought P bucket only got sold if it was an oversell but you live and learn.
Thank you for answering anyway.

Hi, was hoping you could help me interpret the expert flyer output for my flight tomorrow:

F0 A0 J0 C0 I0 O0 P0 Y0 E0 R0 W0 M0B0 U0 K0 H0 Q0 L0 T0 V0 X0

Does that mean there wont be a chance for op-ups (not necessarily for me, just curious)? Im assuming it's overbooked, so how is it handled? Also it seems it's still possible to buy a business or fist ticket for tomorrow, which is partly why i'm confused.
Additionally, the seat map shows full economy cabin but some free seats in business and first, does that mean it's just people that haven't checked in yet?

Thanks !

Can I get a check on EK22 on 7th May (MAN->DXB) please?

Also can you tell what aircraft is assigned to it? A newer A380 or 777 vs one of the really old ones might be the difference on whether I pay to upgrade or not.

(also, as a data point, £441 upgrade offer from Y to J with 3 days to go)

Aircraft assigned (i.e. registration number) is only visible once the aircraft leaves DXB. you should be able to see if it's an A380 or 77W on MMB, it should be an A380

Morning!
Please can someone check the following for me?
Thu 10 May MAN/DXB EK18
Fri 11 May DXB/JNB EK671
Im J Saver, but may look to upgrade DXB/JNB as that's my 'sleep leg' and i know the 777 doesn't have full flat in J.
(MAN/DXB is just my party leg, obvs!)

Yes, sorry EK761. May have some luck on that one for F upgrade?
Looks like an empty flight first so that'll be fun.
Cheers

If you are on a J Saver, the chances of an op-up are unfortunately slim.
If you have enough miles, I guess an 'on board' upgrade would be your best bet (or ask in the lounge).

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before - my search of the forum returned zero results.

Could someone please explain to me what the letters before each of the numbers mean please? I know F, J and Y but I'm clueless, and interested to know to what the others are.

Thank you.

These are what are commonly called ‘fare buckets’. As we all know, not everyone in a particular ‘cabin ‘ pays the same fare. ‘Special’, ‘Saver’, ‘Flex’ and ‘Flex+’ are easily recognised but even within these there are different fares as shown by the ‘fare buckets’. F and A are First class, J, C, I, O and P are Business and the rest are Economy.
The numbers behind the letters are the number the airline will sell in that bucket, but the maximum shown is 4 for First, 7 for Business and 9 for Economy buckets. And the numbers in a specific cabin are not additive, i.e. in your example the airline will sell 5 economy tickets, not 20. But they will sell them at the W ‘price’ (or above). Business is sold out, First has 2 tickets for sale (at the highest fare).

I notice you have posted this twice and right at the start of the other thread is

Information on Load requests

The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.

NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.

For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:
