Hi all - as per some earlier posts, I am flying on EK383 from HK to DXB on July 9th, on a 777 (had been changed from an A380 earlier in the year).

I saw an update a while back stating that the refurbed 777 model was due to be in service a week later on that route (with a suggestion it might come online earlier), but wasn't holding out too much hope.

However, I was looking at the seat allocation this morning and noticed that the seat numbers were different, so tried to edit them and was presented with the config below. Unless I am reading it wrong, does this suggest (confirm?) the refurbed 1-2-1 config will be available for my flight (the red lines are the seat changes I made to move my kids closer)? Don't want to get my hopes up but it seems promising....!

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...4c12D1ZfabzPY/

Some new functionality has been added to the sheet. If you go to the new 'Lookup' tab and enter an aircraft registration number, it'll pull data from the other sheets and only display info for that specific frame. Makes it easier to look things up rather than trying to find the data in sheet form.

One small drawback is that in its current state, to make things easier for anonymous users (not signed in to Google), the shared sheet access means that if 2 (or more) people are viewing the sheet at the same time and they all want to use the lookup function, they will constantly be over-writing each others queries by entering a different reg number. I can't see this happening often, but it's a possibility so I thought to warn everyone just in case.

As always, feedback is appreciated. The current implementation is a bit crude and basic, but it was relatively easy compared to other more feature rich options that would require users to be signed in and enable certain permissions, passing on extra burden to the user and making it more inconvenient to run queries.

A6-EDF has now received the new livery. Not sure when this took place, but good to see the oldest member of the A380 fleet get a fresh lick of paint.

Have there been any other aircraft that have received the new livery? Seems odd that just two B777s have received it so far (ENV and EQH)!

A6-EDX is currently undergoing its pre-return test flight, in the air currently as EK2646, so should be back in service within the next week.
Presumably thatll mean well soon see another A380 leave DWC?

Emirates will complete the full purchase of A6-EEK, EEL, EEM and EEO from Doric Nimrod Air Three on August 24th. https://www.flightglobal.com/airline...163770.article
These four were initially rumoured to be going off lease a few months back, so it's good to see Emirates committing their future to these frames!

Anyone have a guess as to when EK206 and EK202 will get refurbished cabins for JFK?

Both will get refurbed A380s before December. I would expect EK might put out another announcement in the next couple of weeks to announce the next round of refurbed 380 deployments.

I hope it is delayed. Hate the PE seats - I am unable to sit for more than an hour or two before my back starts to hurt., forget sleeping.

Hi All
Are the A380's still getting the updated leather seats in business class as part of the major checks even if the PE retrofit isn't being carried out??

Travelling on EK 30 in October from Heathrow.

Is A6-EOK undergoing a refurb/PE refit currently? It hasnt flown since the 26th May so was wondering if that was the next A380 to be treated.
