Fleet retirement??
Hoping someone can shed some light here. Was expecting at least a few more airframes to be retired this year (the runway works period seemed as good a window as any, especially for a couple of 345s slated for the Arabian gulf?). Any insights on what we might expect, either over this calendar year or even the financial year?

I is flying EK343 KL to Dubai on the 8th October on a scheduled 777-300 and my business class seat is showing as a deep reclining sleeperette!
What the hell are those?
Am I looking at a 1970's wide seat like in the movie airplane?

A6-EMD
EMD is reported as going stateside for scrapping, I'm even more convinced that the white one outside the hangars at DXB was this.

Not even on the ERs? I'm planning CTP to LGW via DXB, and it shows as a 777-300 ER which the emirates website describes as having "deeply reclining" seats, and seatguru describes as "angled lie flat".
I'll be rather disappointed if they're sleeperettes.

Deepy reclining in J were found on various B777, but all -300 models now offer the angled lie flat seats. I think there's only one or two 2 class -200s still with deeply reclining seats.
