Indeed, only the Berlin flights will be operated by an A320 meaning SH European C class rather than proper LH C.

According to airlineroute.net, the flight will only be twice weekly, on Saturdays and Sundays. Seems like more of a utilization route than anything else.

"Berlin – Tel Aviv NEW 2 weekly, subject to Government Approval
LH682 BER0845 – 1345TLV 320 7
LH682 BER1120 – 1620TLV 320 6
LH683 TLV1445 – 1805BER 320 7
LH683 TLV1720 – 2040BER 320 6"

If it will yield ( and it probably will) I am sure the frequency will be increased. Why leave the route to LY and AB?

On a few random dates that I've checked next summer, LH is using a 343 instead of the 744 on the daytime FRA-TLV-FRA flight. I'm very sorry to see this as I've been on this 747 a number of times, and I really enjoy the Jumbo.

Why only weekend and not weekday? I thought those route should be done extremely very well. I wasn't sure why they didn't have enough aircraft utilization.

Well they already have the FRA and MUC routes, so I'm assuming this is primarily for O&D traffic, so even if they have the aircraft utilization, I guess they just don't expect the numbers to warrant 5 X weekly (or daily).

AF will start flying TLV-NCE 3 times a week (Sun/Wed/Sat) starting April with an A319/320 configured with Y class only.

Didn't LY used to fly the route?

Why only Y?

Strange, link works fie for me...

Just says April without being date specific.

As for why only WhY, no idea really, perhaps they think they won't have the demand for C on he route and thereby they can sell more Y seats.

Will this plane be special for this route, or do they have a bunch of all-Y routes?
