I doubt we'll see any interesting fares for a route like this.
Obviously people fly connecting instead of non-stop if the price is good. My point was more who would use TLV as a connection?! LY offers it to/from the Far East, but even that is annoying, and I'm not sure how much business they get for that.

A good friend used them for TLV-NRT and was very happy. He is not a road warrior. He was in Y I think. Can ask when I see him in Tel Aviv to watch the playoff game tonight.

According to Priscila Golczewski, LY Director for Brazil, LY flights TLV-GRU are always full and the airline is expected to upgrade the route to 4 weekly. In her words, it is expected that the new flight will become effective from June 2011 onwards.

Yeah, me too. Kinda odd especially considering the purchase of another 744

Maybe I should just move to RJ. Same amount of time to reach my destination and much better product.

If flying premium cabins, TK is definitely better than RJ.

Coach. And as for TK, are you talking specifically of the 9W plane they have?

I like TK over RJ (but that's probably my bias for preferring *A )

IMO, there is still no better bargain in the miles world than 60k AA from TLV-HKG/BKK/PEK in C on LY/RJ and 50K to BOM on LY/RJ. That's where I burn most of my AA Miles

Shh...best kept secret in the mileage world. But you can get further than PEK/HKG/BKK I do believe. Why not SIN/CGK/NRT/KUL?
