Here's a reports from LY load factor:

LY 296 91837 74323 80.9%
BOS-TLV 24 6670 5326 79.9%
EWR-TLV 70 20604 17309 84.0%
JFK-TLV 118 40971 33761 82.4%
LAX-TLV 40 11234 8732 77.7%
MIA-TLV 27 7583 6485 85.5%
SFO-TLV 17 4775 2710 56.8%

SFO-TLV is a disaster. It's terrible. I think LY SFO-TLV will be discontinued. United Airlines has already flies SFO-TLV. Cannot handle UA competition on this route?

I would not read too much into the SFO numbers. I assume you got these numbers from another site where the poster said they are from May 2019. EL Al started the SFO route on May 19th. Basically a new route. I believe this route will be served by a 787-8 after the new year. I am surprised about LAX. They have been serving this route for many years and have no competition but only pull 77%

What is the source of these numbers?

Just heard of someone who was on a rather empty flight had entire economy row for himself on LY from SFO. Doesn't sounds good, but on the other hand, UA seems to fill economy with transit passengers to LAX/SEA and even EWR.

I heard from someone who works at LY that UA's TLV-SFO service had major impact on LY's TLV-LAX, causing a retreat from 6 weekly flights down to 3 some time ago...and that LY's misread of the SFO potential caused them major damage on the West Coast altogether. It makes sense, since the big corporate money is focused on Northern CA as opposed to Southern CA. That's the bread and butter. UA got there first and ex-TLV corporate pax went to SFO, drawing LY to retreat on capacity to LA.

I have met a number of people who would rather connect through SFO to avoid LY. Furthermore the LA flight has been consistently overpriced and I don't think they have reduced the price to competitive levels.

AA to increase DFW service (that hasn't even started yet) from 3x weekly to daily

https://www.routesonline.com/news/38...from-oct-2020/

Incredibly, this route seems to be profitable before they have even flown it... ;-)
