Wasnt talking about RJ routes, and that had an Israeli carrier been flying to AMM they probably wouldnt have lasted as not many Jordanians would fly LY (or whomever) to connect onward at TLV. RJ doesnt fly the route based on O&D, while an Isreali carrier would. Now what will be with UAE who knows now, but again doubtful many if any from The UAE will fly an Isreali carrier to coneect onward unless they wanted to make a stop over in Israel for whatever reason. So EK or EY would get both the O&D and connecting traffic especially Westwardly while an Israeli carrier would have to make due with O&D

If priced and shed right it could mean a drastic cutback for RJ and TK as Im sure most would rather fly on EK or EY, even the likes of CX and AI may run into trouble(I know its a 1 stop vs a non-stop) but for many its the price that will count

But is it about PAX or about the carriers/airport? TLV isn't really built for connecting passengers, and other than LY with very poor offering no other airline ever offered connecting flights in TLV.
LY could probably do a decent job in connecting PAX from Europe to Asia and (South) Africa

I was trying to say that UAE is good for Israelis to connect at which they do @ IST or AMM recently looking for cheap fares. Could be EK/EY can draw alot of that traffic their way should they fly into TLV or do code-share with an Israeli carrier or at least be on the same PNR. Israeli carriers dont really have what to offer connecting @ TLV since most likely those in the UAE can fly to th destination non-stop and probably for less money

Why would someone want to fly Europe-TLV- West with an extra long flight TLV-West when they could fly any ME3 or European carrier savings many hours in flight, or any number of Asian carriers non-stop as well.

Now if they wanted to stop a few days in Israel I get it otherwise its not worth their while. Better put how many people fly IST-TLV-XXX or AMM-TLV-XXX probably next to none and Id assume the same for EUR-TLV-XXX

Good news yet its probably only for flights to UAE and not for any flight say to Asia.

Not 1 of the Israeli news sites that I read had any mention whasoever about this and Id assume they be squaking about it like crazy

And with press reports of normalization talks with Sudan, who's going to buy the first seats TLV-KRT?

Well this seems to suggest the complete opposite, especially if they mean that all the T&Cs must be fulfilled which will NEVER happen;

Saudi Arabia maintains its policy of not making ties with Israel official until there is peace with the Palestinians, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said on Wednesday.Bin Farhan’s remarks were the first comments from a Saudi official on Israel and the UAE’s normalization agreement announced last week.

“Saudi Arabia affirms its commitment to peace as a strategic option based on the Arab Peace Initiatives,” he said.The Arab Peace Initiative involves a full Israeli withdrawal to pre-1967 lines, including dividing Jerusalem. It also calls for all Palestinian refugees of the 1948 War of Independence and their descendants, of which the UN says there are about five million, to be granted the right of return. The plan, also known as the Saudi Initiative, offers Israel peace and normalization with Arab states in exchange for accepting it.

They might as well simply say No Peace until all The Israelis commit suicide

So EK/EY may be granted fly-over rights but it doesnt look any Israeli carrier will be, unless the above is simply to mask whats going on in secret

First TLV-BAH Flight

Looks like Israir got the honours. (Though I do like how they use a stock photo of LY)

Lot less fuss it seems.

Well, this is sort of a new route (or route path) for Etihad. They're now overflying Israel:
