Thanks for all the great suggestions FT'ers! I added most of them to my list (after yelping) and can't wait to try them all!

I'm born and raised in NY and love a thin slice that you can fold up while you walk and eat. As for NY Pizza there is a ton of places you could go. Artichokes is right now up there, Luzzo's (14th and 1st) a def fav (sit down place), Di-fara's (mentioned earlier), and L&B's in Bk.

There is also one by LGA, called Naomi’s. It's a Jewish place (don't hate till you try it!) which serves pizza and falafels. The pizza tastes phenomenal. I think its their sauce but whenever I am in the Forest Hills area I have to go get a slice or two. Usually 2.

I also have a list of about 50 pizza places in NY that I have tried so if anyone needs any recommendations don't hesitate to pm me!

Albert's in Ronkonkoma? I also can't believe no one mentioned L&Bs in this entire thread.

Although there's still a lot of pizza on my "to try" list, right now my favorite is Grimaldi's, but the nearest one to me is a 6-hour drive!

In Dallas, you've got to go to Cane Rosso in Deep Ellum (near downtown).

Spinatos, outstanding pizza in the PHX area.

I went to the Tempe one a few years ago and very much enjoyed it. It was iDine back then, not sure if it still is.

Do they cut their pie like Rosati's does? Meaning the cut it into squares even for a round pie. I hate that and won't eat at Rosati's anymore. I even asked them to cut it traditionally but they said no. I then asked can you just give me the pie uncut and I'll cut it. Again, no they said.

Despite being Chicagoans, the wife and I would vote for Lucali in Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens) and the superiority of New York pizza in general (Chicago deep dish pizza is more like a lasagna than a pizza). Unfortunately, the last time we were in the vicinity, the place was closed for renovations.

In Chicago, best NY style pizza I've found is Cafe Luigi in Lakeview. Of course, Lou Malnati's is pretty solid as well for Chicago thin crust.

What is your fav part about the pizza? I guess most people are looking at the crust portion of (NY/Chi style). My fav is the cheese (fav is buffalo mozzerella!!) and next is sauce.

My favorites:
Glass Nickel - Madison, WI (Thicker Crust)
Patzeria's Perfect Pizaa- New York, NY (Thinner NY crust)
Pecorino - Los Angeles, CA (Special fried pizza)

For the locals in NYC specifically Queens

-Lucia Pizza on Roosevelt and Main by the 7 train
-Amore Pizza by the Whitestone Expressway

And where is Aurelio's from the Chicago-land (Homewood) area?

I was thinking the same thing about Aurelio's. I have one within walking distance in the south suburbs of Chicago.

Supino's in Detroit has great pizza as well.

I was so disappointed with Lou Malnati's! When I was in Chicago it was hyped up so much and when I eventually got the opportunity to taste it I was really disappointed. Giordanno's reigns supreme in the Chicago pizza market, imo ^

I was born and raised in Detroit. There's only one Buddy's pizza...especially the original one on Conant. The pie rocks.
