Here's a peeve of mine ...

Often breakfast buffets in Europe will have ham, cheese and bread ... but no mustard! I've been able to obtain some for a sandwich as a special request, but thought it odd they don't put it out on the table?

Never occurred to me to use mustard at breakfast (or make a sandwich) although I do like mustard with ham on sandwiches at lunch or with sliced ham for dinner

My new buffet food rule is to take only one piece of each fruit to test it's ripeness before loading up my plate. Corollary: avoid the green melon because it is rarely, if ever, ripe.

I got a message from a Flyertalker the other day who told me, "I don't eat lamb, goat, frogs, pheasant, dear, rabbit, etc., but I love chicken feet."

At breakfast my savoury cannot intermingle with the sweet. Separate plates for the eggs, hashbrowns, sausage/bacon and/or beans and another for the french toast/pancakes. Need different cutlery too.

I haven't done it in a long time as these days I use (green) tabasco, but I used to pour pancake syrup on my hash browns. Why only at breakfast?

Its inevitable to get some syrup on hashbrowns if served on the same plate as pancakes..

All mixes up in the stomach anyways..

Says somebody who's obviously never tried Cornish Quartz from Davidstow!

Very wrong.
I'm willing to accept there's a big difference between American and Italian styles of ice cream. But there's quite a continuum between the two (and the stuff you get here tends to sit in the middle, with less fat and no egg white).

I love meat, vegetables and fruit in a food.I'll often let my dinner sit for an hour or so when I eat at home to accomplish this.In a night i dont eat heavy food.Ina morning i take tea with Chips of different kinds -- potato chips, tortilla chips, different flavored potato chips.

If I'm eating BBQ in Texas the only "plates" better be sheets of wax paper I dump all the meat on.

I tried chicken feet at brunch with a friend and don't think I would get them again, unless someone comes up with a boneless version...

Do you mean butcher paper? I've never seen a BBQ place in Texas that uses wax paper. But, plenty of them use butcher paper...usually the red-tinted variety.

I only take chicken feet in dark soy sauce type cooked.. and sometimes in chinese soup..

Cold chicken feet cooked straight up.. I would have a problem taking as well
