Leftover chili (which was still a wee bit too garlicky ;) :D)

snack while cooking....grilled shishito peppers with sesame oil and soy
new potatoes with Rosemary
rib eye with blue cheese and grilled onions
broccoli

The picture size didn’t bother me much. Out of focus potato pic was probably not the best.

It likely depends on the device you’ve viewing it on. On my ipad it looked ok. The steak
looked nice, with the blue cheese on it.

Too tired to cook dinner, stopped at Taco Bell nor the limited time nachos box. Could have made better at home if I wasn't so tired. Now off to bed

We always make our own tahini. Super easy and makes a huge improvement in the hummus. Also have tried canned garbanzos and they are disgusting compared to cooking dried garbanzos. Aside from those two things, it's largely a matter of taste. Adjust the lemon juice, garlic, tahini, cumin, and salt. Add more oil or water to achieve the consistency you desire.

Curious how you got a leftover omelette. Did someone not eat their breakfast? This is one thing that I've never had left over, as I would make it to order.

gaobest Sep 1, 2020 8:02 am

Monday supper - better air so okay to grill/cook
cheeseburgers on roll-ppang bunny buns
oven fries
roasted carrots with olive oil, salt, & tumeric
baked potato
roasted gold beets
sauteed onion

I had a leftover half tomato from Sunday, which I refrigerated.
I had leftover chopped (diced) raw onion and raw scallion, from a few days ago - the turkey taco supper.
I also had leftover grated sharp cheddar.
all in the fridge and thus omeletted for my Monday luncheon.

Celebrated our son's birthday last night at Pacific Catch, a bay area casual seafood chain that he likes.

I had grilled yellowtail with cauliflower and a tumeric tahini sauce, with fried brussels on the side drizzled with a touch of thai sweet chili sauce. Not bad.

Lol...I completely misunderstood that. I thought the whole omelette was left over! I'm actually a big fan of the "leftover" omelette now that I understand.

This is what I said. Find a new recipe for sure....I am trying to imagine what that tasted like with all of that tahini. Plus tahini is so high in fat. I have made a hummus using cannelini beans and liked the flavor better than garbanzo. I added rosemary and garlic.

If parsley is not the same as pesto, can we also agree that cannellini beans and rosemary do not make hummus? It's a white bean dip, but it ain't hummus!

Cannellini beans and rosemary and garlic ....and tahini are certainly hummus-ish IMO. I failed to mention the tahini as I thought it was a given.

Most of the Middle East might disagree with you. (I figured there was tahini in it.)

Went with burgers to test out the homemade buns. I toasted the buns with some ghee in cast iron and got a perfect crispy edge. The burgers are Beyond from Costco; while I'm a carnivore, my wife is pescatarian, so sometimes it's easier to just make two of these, and they honestly taste pretty good.

Well, you have 10-15 varieties to choose from. You must have loved Farrell’s as a kid.

Boy, I sure did! Some of my best memories as a kid 70-73ish in Sacramento. The plane crash ended that institution. Sad.

Swensons Ice cream, who even had franchise in Hong Kong. In fact I had a dream about them last night - I ordered ahead and my milkshakes were ready.
in reality, I’ve never had this much inventory of ice cream treats prior to pandemic.

We would wait in line to get in and nothing was more exciting than someone ordering a pig's trough.
I think I need some ice cream now.

Hand-stuffed blue cheese olive gin martinis
Buffalo chicken burgers
Lettuce salad
Probably with leftover cheesy mashed potatoes, since we're heading out for the long weekend tomorrow and trying to use up leftovers.

Blueberries and strawberries
Cranberry muffins with brown sugar topping

We went to downtown SF target to fetch 4 12-packs of fresca, and I also fetched Super Duper for my family to eat while they waited for me to get the fresca. That area is really packed with despair.

double cheeseburger
single cheeseburger
fries
milkshake

somehow the milkshake spilled while I drove home, so at home I cleaned up the milkshake mess before having my own supper...
tartine toast with:
1. butter
2. peanut butter & cherry preserves
3. Matcha milk jam
4. total coconut almond butter

during Mulan:
bob’s red mill white popcorn

for my own dessert it’s either more toast, Boars Head Pumpkin Pie hummus, or that organic Kett mango I bought this morning!
