I wish a couple more of those jars were turned around. The peanut pecan looks good to me. The Fiji ginger less so. I would probably not even try the maple cinnamon.

I've tried plenty of those organic peanut butters and if I'm being completely honest none of them holds a match to Kraft.

The two left ones are what I’ve already bought: toasted coconut almond butter and chocolate almond butter, both with sea salt. I too refuse to buy the maple syrup one :-)

If it’s Kraft 100% peanuts plus salt, then sure I’ll agree. I don’t want any of the peanut butters unless it’s 100% peanut & salt. Plus crunchy.
there are too many peanut butter skus with sugar, Palm, or other weird ingredients; sometimes it’s because of “no stir” or “no refrigeration”

also in USA I don’t recall Kraft having a peanut butter; JM Smuckers (formerly P&G) have most of the shelf space besides private label. I don’t even know if Unilever / Nestle carry a peanut butter. Also I didn’t know that peanut butter was popular in Australia.

I am shocked that you don't buy your peanut butter at Costco. 2 huge jars of Skippy super chunk shrink wrapped together. I can't remember the price but it is often on sale and I am sure the 2 jars sell for what you are paying for one jar of store brand. Not organic but I don't care.

The major brands all include sugar. It's the reason I don't buy them...not only is it too sweet but why should there be sugar in peanut butter?

No Adams (Smucker brand) where you are? You can even get it in a nothing-added version.

Because it's addictive and (excessive) sweet(ness) is, apparently, what the North American (primarily U.S.) market appears to crave.

Re: the Adam's PB, I guess Smucker gets you with the grape jelly.

Kraft has been pushing a no-sugar PB in Canada but I have never been tempted by their pricing to even have a look at the ingredients.

Have some skin-on side pork that I will try to make lard rôti for lunch tomorrow (would have been for dinner but a friend is visiting). Bought a lot of marked-down side pork in the past week and 2 slabs/2 Kg are salting right in step 1 of being turned into pancetta.

Never heard of Adams, but you can get a Smucker brand natural peanut butter with no sugar just about anywhere. I usually buy that or Teddie, the other widely available no-sugar brand.

The only annoying thing about it is the need to stir. I always seem to make a mess.

Adams is/was WA-based so might be a regional label.. Probably the same product as the Smucker with a different label/container.

Thanks. I was too lazy. There are only a couple there that I think I would try. Too many sweet versions. The peanut butter for dogs crack me up. Our dog doesn't need a special gourmet peanut butter, he'll eat whatever brand we give him as a treat and like it, gosh darn it.
