A Pick 3. It's a TGI Friday's appetizer where you get three half orders of stuff. So I got it with Jack Daniels Wings, pot stickers and potato skins. Crappy and horrible for me, but when I'm working a 12 hour shift here I do what I gotta do.

A nice large ahi steak, seared over charcoal after marinading in a shoyu marinade. Cornbread, blueberries, and a glass of cold milk. ^

The ladyfriend brought me dinner. Hamburger steak with dirty rice, corn, broccoli, some fruit and a honeybun cake she made. All very tasty ^

Medium-rare lamb loin chops au poivre, with oven roasted vegetable medley (brussels sprouts and asparagus, with a couple of random fingerlings, all tossed in olive oil, lemon and thyme).

I had fully planned on fresh strawberries for dessert but having gorged myself on three chops and a double portion of veg, could not stand to even look at any more food.

Sssoooo yummy!

The cheapskate chow thread.

How to cook great food for a family without spending big bucks.

On tonight's menu a carbonara of bacon offcuts,2 eggs,onion,scallions,penne pasta,grated parmesan,a clove of garlic,chilli flakes,ground black pepper.
Total cost for a family of four : 7.

Did a simple one tonight. Penne pasta with chorizo meat sauce. Sauce is easy, a little gravy, chorizo and garlic pepper.
