End-of-school social celebration at Spark Social, SF - an outdoor haven of food trucks & picnic tables. We were there from 5:00 - 9:15pm!

Mr Beast’s food truck:
The Chandler burger
sprite
Bottled water

empanadas

when we returned home, it was time for me to cook my own supper:
chicken thigh soup with Korean pepper paste and spicy sesame oil
white rice
kim chee (store-bought)

do you bread the fish for frying? Or is the cod just taken from package to pan and fried? Which oil?
most fish tacos that I see in this style are breaded. I prefer fish tacos not breaded so am curious. I can’t order these at restaurants because of the preparation (so I would get other taco flavors instead)

Just dry dredged in a flour-salt-pepper-chili powder mix and pan sautéed in peanut oil.

I'm really surprised that breaded fish tacos are so popular in San Francisco. I can't think of a single place in Chicago that sells breaded fish tacos -- here it's a pretty even split between grilled fish tacos and battered fish tacos.

google is your friend. Saute is not something battered. There are different terms for different ways of frying.

Breading and batter are two different things. A batter is a liquid. Breading is bread crumbs. I think what you're saying is you like fish without breading or batter.

Here in Philly, I’d say it is 90-10. 90% grilled, 10% battered. I’ve never seen a breaded fish taco.

In northwest and central Florida, 100% grilled. I’ve never seen battered fish in a taco.

Really? It is fairly common here. Like a battered filet that you would get with fish & chips but obviously small enough to fit in a taco. They are very good.

I think of fish & chips as being breaded. Oh wait.
i used to work in fisherman’s wharf and served fish and chips in a batter. I guess I just enjoy confusing myself with breading and batter for food.
