I couldn't agree more. Crappy fries no matter how well done or what you put on them although having them animal style is at least edible if you must. Skip the calories and get a shake.

But at least in my limited experience (and I cannot believe that I did not go to In N Out in either of my last two SoCal trips), they are at least crispy (which is a big fry component for me) if you eat it there. That said, I think Shake Shack's fries are way better because they are crispy and hearty with good texture and they don't have a nanosecond lifespan like some fries, like McDs. I don't think Shake Shack vs In N Out is a fair comparison. Five Guys is a much better one on one comparison. McDs is more in its lane than Shake Shack - Just my opinion.

The problem with 5 Guys is that if you don't bring in a family of 5, what are you to do with all the fries?

So true, especially since I am usually full on just the Cheeseburger (and some peanuts prior). I do know that you can actually resurrect those fries in the oven on a sheet pan if you so choose to bring them home with you.

yesss!! You played the old Super Nintendo games. I love to play Super Mario World, Mega man X, and others games.
Yummy!! Pizza!! That looks delicious! Not this month. I cant eat pizza now. Gotta wait for next month.
So, I wanted to give the 8 Cheese a better chance by dining in - rather than the Kingly location (where I found they skimped on toppings), the Soho location served a very tasty 8 cheese with pepperoni - quite enjoyable at Pizza Pilgrims, and the rotating clips of SNES games playing in the background was quite fun.

I am not doing a comparison with other burger places. I am saying that the fries suck. The best fries are cooked twice so even most frozen fries are going to be better (frozen fries are cooked once before freezing) than INO which are made from fresh potatoes and only fried once. They are flabby, not at all crispy.

"flabby" LOL.

Celebrated Pi Day the only way a PizzaEnthusiast should!
(I think the 8 Cheese with Pepperoni from Pizza Pilgrims has become my new London favourite - there are so many locations, too - this is the Queens Park location)

A myriad of things at Bravas, Healdsburg, many of which were attacked before I was able to photograph. Yum!. Everything was good.

Skwidz

Pie ayya

Crab piquillo pepper

The shrooms were fantastic, as were the anchovies

Eggplant chips with honey ... Omfg

The first bottle. The second was a Spanish red.

Yesterday I made Coq Au Vin for the first time in a long time, used the same Louis Jadot that accompanied the meal and Cognac used/flambed was the Kirkland XO Cognac and made enough to to reheat for today.
