I’ve wanted to make shakshuka for a long time, though didn’t have a few of the ingredients at home. Given our ice storm and impending blizzard, I ran out to Sprouts and picked up the last few items.
The recipe is from NYT Cooking and overall it’s pretty good. A little too runny (they wanted a 28oz can of plum tomatoes), but still good.

final deviled egg from Tuesday
chorizo (Whole Foods gusto) with toasted Trader Joes baguette and Irish butter
Leftover fries from my sons supper
2 total bowls of Trader Joes cluster cereal
I absolutely cannot taste any shop butter that is better compared to the Costco basic butter.

rins thai, sf:
Tom guy chicken soup
pad thai
chicken yellow curry
rice
thanks for the tip! Ive definitely had other French butter. I probably have Stockholm syndrome with Costco butter. It definitely got bad reviews in the nyt wire cutter butter article :-)

Putting this in the dinner thread as it was my last meal of the day - finally tried Pizzeria Vomero in Ginza - only option at lunch was a set menu that included an appetizer, pizza, dessert, and coffee - frito misto was good, and the Bismarck pizza was much tastier than it looked

Original joes, Daly City ca:
cheeseburger with Swiss - rare (their medium rare is too medium for me)
with spaghetti (instead of fries)
Ive eaten at original joes since their former location in the tenderloin for decades. Yum.
Im home and pseudo-stoned so might eat dessert later
later - chocolate cake

What crap. LA premium business dinner. Half a "pot pie" from the featured chef, a salad which was just lettuce, some locos for appetizer, and a dessert all one one tray. Locos were ok, and the pot pie wasn't awful, but LA would have done better going to Castao and getting some Empanadas de Pino instead and putting them on the plate. Oh well. Service was lovely and the Uruguayo Cab Franc was delicious. Good thing that the meal in the lounge was great and breakfast is in the DL lounge.

So premium, I could hardly contain myself

I would probably rather do a root canal than watch any basketball especially live, but I also only have a soda once or twice a year. Way back in the day, circa 1973-75, I was a Pepsi-holic.
