There should also be a discussion of “worst breakfast ever” (although we should specify non-airline breakfasts, because those would always win). My nomination for that would be the German/Danish cheap hotel breakfast: dry bread, slices of bologna, slices of cheap oily cheese, and bad coffee (in fact, at one youth hostel I stayed at in Germany, they didn’t even have coffee at all, just hot chocolate!)

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the UK is one country... You'll find a potato scone in a cooked breakfast in Scotland (they're nothing like plain scones, just to confuse matters).

Fresh or frozen wild berries with muesli/nuts in yoghurt, great! And to add the Jewish classic of a salmon & cream cheese bagel with red onion...
Other favorites include traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean breakfasts as well as the British fry-ups including black and white pudding and some offal when available. Also fond of Southern grits and bacon and other similar dishes.

Eggs Benedict with a croissant on the side and coffee and orange juice. Mmm so many carbs.
