I agree, although I'd say I prefer Montreal bagels slightly over NYC. But when I have a craving for one, I think of only those two cities...everywhere else just seems like bread in a different shape. A quality sesame seed or salt bagel with cream cheese and lox is tough to beat.

Me and most of the people have a favorite breakfast at Mcdonalds.

Today is one of those days that calls for french toast, bacon, and eggs. It's a cold, snowy morning.

Only one is possible, the sausage/egg/cheese McMuffin.

I'm not a fan of the sausage at McDonald's.

Hmm, I find it amazingly good. Better by far than any other fast food offering and many full service breakfast joints too. Out of curiosity, what breakfast sausage do you like?

I'd go for some Lorne Sausage, personally

This morning (cold, nothing but dreich mizzle) was a morning for a Mysore-style masala dosa. With sambar. And some vada on the side. I do miss South Indian breakfasts.

I avoid most fast food sausage in general. Our local diner has decent sausage, although I usually opt for bacon.

Agreed on your first point, in fact I avoid most fast food in general. But maybe 3-4 times a year, a McDonald's breakfast just makes sense for me, and I find the sausage biscuit to be, by far, the tastiest thing on the menu. Usually along with the hash browns. There is a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, IIRC, that is tolerable as well.

I think my objection to it is in part that the sausage is usually absolutely dripping with grease, which just makes me a little nauseous.

That is why you turn your sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin upside down and insert a hash brown in between the egg and the sausage.

Yes, because that helps with the grease.

Do you not want to eat the oil, or do you just not want it on your fingers? Sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin and I can't help you with the former.
