It sounds like you’re in major need of comfort. I hope you found it.
In keeping with my “I’m not cooking until Thursday” theme, I bought a mojo marinated rotisserie chicken and cole slaw at Publix. The chicken was delicious; flavorful and moist without tasting salty at all.

Come warm up here, where the low this morning was 57. However, for most of the area, everyone is bundled up like it was snowing outside.
Back on topic, I had 2 French Dip sandwiches made on a fresh made baquette bread from Publix Bakery. Made with rare deli Bottom Round and Swiss Cheese and a jar of Heinz's au jus sauce. I couldn't find any Consomme which I would prefer.

Breakfast: bowl of Cheerios with bananas, OJ, Bays sourdough English muffin with peanut butter
I tried a Cheerios knockoff yesterday and threw out the remainder this morning. Publix Toasted Oats was half wheat and tasted like ground up newspaper. Too bad. $1.80 vs $5.19 for the real thing.

Just black coffee and water. Given the copious amounts of food I intend to feast on tomorrow, will be fasting from now until Thanksgiving day dinner.
I recall there was a question on those who prefer traditional Thanksgiving fare? Yes, we do! Because of the pandemic last year, I urged Mrs. V for us to host Thanksgiving this year for any who are willing to gather. Got the largest Butterball turkey we can find, and we'll have the usual sides, e.g., stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, apple and pumpkin pie.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dinner last night was red snapper
"heart healthy salad" from the train station again.
Today I have been eating...
Breakfast: oatmeal with everything bagel seasoning
Lunch: red snapper and a pumpernickel bagel
Going to a friendsgiving tonight and I am making string beans with bacon.

I had a nice late lunch across from Harrahs. Ate a hot roast beef, peppers and onion panini in honor of Ian. Shared some gelato with my youngest. Used a groupon for about 50% off, plus some bonus AA miles.

Sideways gelato banana split for my wife.

You only buy cereal on sale, and hopefully with a coupon, too. Should be $2.50-3.00 for a big box. My kid gets Honey Nut Cheerios on a pretty regular basis. Or 2 big boxes of Lucky Charms if Costco has them on sale for $5-6 per 2 pack.
