Social luncheon with a bestie - I fetched them at their flat and they sat in the back seat; masked. I drove us masked. I’m fully vax and my friend is only partly vax.

bbq box luncheon:
spicy pork belly
white rice; japchae noodles; broccoli; bean sprouts; Mandu; green salad with red spicy dressing
assd bancha (!!)
the restaurant gave us more bancha and my friend didn’t want it so I have fun leftovers.
my first korean restaurant meal in over 15 months - I didn’t go to any Korean restaurant in 2020!
I still haven’t had pho since January 28 2020! That last pho was at Turtle Tower, which was nicely featured in the pho issue of the now/defunct Lucky Peach magazine!

There's a little cheese shop near me that on the side does cheese toasties. I just had one for lunch. The cheese blend was six different cheeses some local artisan and some imported. Oh my. I need a lie down.

Very creamy, not too sweet, hints of rose and cardamom. Unfortunately I'm legitimately addicted now and have been to the market 3 times in the past week to get this! I would like to know where else I can find this, it's a bit expensive where I buy it. I'm not saying it's not worth it.

Tofu / broccoli / Leftover rib eye steak ala mapo tofu inspiration (albeit zero peppercorn)

leftover bancha from Tuesday luncheon
due to my child’s baseball schedule, I couldn’t grill steak last night nor tomorrow so tonight it’ll be grilled rib eye steaks.
