Baked and consumed this delicious spiral I bought at Trader Joe's - flaky on the outside and cheesy soft on the inside. It tastes like a savory baklava - mild but delicious stuff.

someone else made the pot roast. I had it on their porch. 12 hours in a crock pot! I’m getting ideas to slow cook my Costco corned beef overnight so that the meat will be room temperature and not hot when we eat corned beef sandwiches :-)
BTW--corned beef and even just regular brisket is always better the second day. Make it the day before you serve it...unless I am having it hot with cabbage & potatoes etc, I always make it the day before. |
Beef and mushroom pie with salad from the bakery down the road. Crappy weather today; cold, windy and wet.

They set up distanced seating & tables on their porch. Masked indoors to get the food and then unmasked consumption outdoors on the porch. It’s like outdoor dining for a restaurant. |

What have you put on top of that poor pie?
ETA: I can't believe it's middle of March already. This year is going fast, but I suppose that's because 2020 was such a dumpster fire. I need to buy corned beef this week! |

Sunday morning treat. Skinny bagels (about half the height) with cucumber-chive cream cheese, red onion, and thinly sliced smoked tuna. Bagels and cream cheese from Once Upon a Bagel (just for Gaobest :))

A tiny amount of dead horse. Trust me, by my standards, that's tiny. Oh to go back to the school days when you'd take the big thing of sauce and stick the nozzle into the pie so it all mixed the flavours and at the same time cooled the scalding hot filling. Then you'd apply liberal amounts on the top of the pastry as well. ;)

Just wrapped up a weekend visit to see friends in Wisconsin and breakfast included popovers...yum! And we made a pitstop at a Wendy's for a Frosty, which is a rare treat we both love!

my favorite is the egg all-season (“everything”) which isn’t available as skinny. |
