Why don’t you finish the miso? I love it!
you still haven’t identified your favorite proper Mexican foods. Why do you need three different sourdough breads? 15 flavors of ice cream? I don’t consider Taco Bell, or second or third rate fakey Mexican food something I’d routinely want to consume. I’d gladly travel 20 miles to get really good Mexican food. Asia isn’t exactly known for their Mexican food, and for good reason. The best Mexican food I’ve had in Asia is food I’ve made myself. I’d rather eat nothing than bad tasting food.

Rao’s needs zero loading up - I do have it with cooked meatballs but definitely don’t add anything else. No chilis needed! I love Calabrian whole chilis (not just the oil but the chilis) on pizza, and I still don’t use them With Rao’s.
I really love Rao’s and I’m so excited for you and your Rao’s purchase. I think it’s so good!!!!! wait, did you get the alfredo or marinara? I only get the marinara. I never get anything alfredo. |

and we have 1 safeway-bought San Luis brand of sourdough, 1 quarter pack of an emergency loaf bought before we discovered our love for San Luis, and the lux $12 tartine Country loaf (32-Oz); I’m taking forever with that emergency loaf.

Do you buy the jarred Calabrian chilis packed in oil? Do you have one that you would recommend ?
$7.49 jar from Italbrands - not sure if I can replenish at Safeway. More of a gourmet grocer purchase than a cache cornershop. Maybe WF / Sur La Table - 2 places where I’m not shopping.

As I said, pasta is not popular at our house. I've tried, but can not eat pasta with only marinara. Needs to be loaded up with other things. Also needs to be baked. Probably 75% of our pasta consumption is lasagna, and there is always some type of hot peppers involved.

Had a terrific sandwich at the beach for lunch. Maple honey turkey, fresh heirloom tomatoes, homemade lemon cucumber pickles, and a slice of american cheese. |
I just made a big bowl of scallop ceviche ( I added some Casamigos--never tried that before but can't hurt, right?). Tonight is street concert night so we are going to have that with tortilla chips and some stuffed grape leaves with tzatziki. My friend is bringing some MJ strawberry cream cheese brownies that she made.

Saturday brunch:
chocolate croissants plain croissants sourdough toast with butter omelette (2 eggs & 1 egg white) with black olives, sautéed onions, sautéed tomatoes, and sharp cheddar scrambled soft eggs |
Chopped salad made with romaine, green pepper, onion, cucumber, tuna, and feta. One of the better salads I have made lately, if I do say so myself.

My Sunday luncheon:
leftover turkey tacos - corn tortillas with refried beans, ground turkey, sautéed onions, and topped with cilantro sautéed (on griddle pan) jalapeño freshly-made guacamole (avocado & freshly-squeezed lime juice) dessert - Melona (Bingrae) mango fruit bar - absolutely fantastic! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...da714e964.jpeg
