I love Brussels sprouts so much. As a child, i has it sautéed with bacon. Now I want to just roast it in olive oil and salt (Ina G).

Today’s luncheon:
grilled cheese
grilled cheese & tomatoes
bagel with hummus
bagel with cream cheese, tomato, & red onion
Kettle chips - salt & vinegar and Chili Lime
Pringles - Salted

Brussels sprouts with bacon are the best. Since you like them so much, why don't you ever make them---I don't think I have ever seen them on any of your posted menus.
It would make mine and Kipper's day. ;)

No bacon in these, but they are pan-fried then finished with coconut water.

I may try that. I've had roasted Brussels sprouts that were lousy, but I think that was the lack of seasoning.

I definitely love chili oil on pizza for spice and I spoon some on the pizza after it’s cooked... I haven’t tried any of the “Asian” chili pastes like Sriracha, korean red pepper paste, Thai sweet chili... I am just mixed about colliding these worlds. I’m the adorable mix of Costanza and Wayne knight (Newman).

I first had chili oil on a pizza in Panama. The little wood-fired place I went served the pizza with chili oil on the side. Once I tried it, I had to drizzle it on every piece.

If you're making a pizza rather than just heating a frozen one, try mixing the hot stuff in with your pizza sauce. I'll sometimes mix sriracha with the sauce and bake the flavor right in.

They look delicious. What's with the coconut water, flavor? I would have thought that would take away from the nice crispiness you have.

Eggs scrambled with green bell pepper, onion, and spinach topped with a bit of feta.

Harrod's Pizzeria in London (some of the best and most expensive pizza in the world) serves chili oil with their pizza. That was my first experience. Really tasty.

We always go because one of the waiters has become a personal friend over the years and the pizza and tiramisu are delicious. One time a FlyerTalker friend from LA contacted me while we were in London and he asked if we wanted to get together. I mentioned we were meeting friends for lunch at the Pizzeria at Harrod's and he was welcome to join us. When we were finished, he suddenly said, "Did I just have $50 worth of pizza?" I said, "No, don't be silly. You also had a Diet Coke!" :D

I love Harrod’s food and service back when I was there, but their overall pricing was list retail at the highest.

Wednesday brekky:
soft scrambled eggs
egg omelette with grated sharp cheddar & leftover sautéed onion; buttered tartine toast with some cherry preserves
coffee with oat milk
iced water
Kalona chocolate milk

I guess I shouldn't have said finished with coconut water, because that was saying it was added as the last step. The water went in as an intermediate step--cook in a bit of oil, cut faces down, first, then add the water and let it steam and cook off, then allow to crisp back up with more time in the cast iron or with a splash more oil. We always add a little liquid at that intermediate stage--traditionally, it's been a bit of lemon or lime juice, maybe some sake or a white wine, and a bit of balsamic to help flavor and caramelize, and of course, possibly a splash of fish sauce or soy depending on the flavors I want that evening. The coconut water notion comes from a Vietnamese cookbook that I've had decent success with and does add a little flavor.

Not today but 8 years ago (according to FB) I made this. I had a friend over for a bbq & the steak looked like a dino face and then the other stuff just seemed to fit with it....lots of wine involved I am sure. It is always fun to play with your food.

That looks really delicious! I haven’t had proper Mexican food in 6 months, so perhaps I’m jonesing for it. :) (I know it’s not proper Mexican food, but close enough!)
