That is a proper lunch! Envious.

This sounds boring ... but it was exactly required.

I made some lovely bread (80/20 white/wholemeal) some cave aged gruyere and a large tumbler of Torres 10 yar old (cheap) brandy.

My wife also loves my bread.

Today's meal wasn't that interesting. It was a fried fish. But I'm planning to cook carbonara tomorrow.

Well today was roast shoulder of lamb, with an onion sauce, with sauteed potatoes, green beans, and carrots ..... one of her favourite lunches. There was also a bottle of flashly labelled Rioja. Now there is shortly going to be a doze .........

Had some good breakfast today: fruit (cantaloupe, strawberry, pineapple and grapes) and some mini cheddar biscuits with ham and honey mustard.

Ocado just arrived so everything is set for the next few days .... and it's cold here ......

Today: Wiener schnitzel von schwein mit bratkartoffeln und Grner Veltliner.

Saturday: Tandoori chicken (marinading this very minute) Onion bhajis .... and forgive me ....... vegetable spring rolls .... (and salad) and foamy freezing Paulaner.

Sunday: Slow braised Lamb and potato and onion and carrot and peas and mint (shortly to be braised and held in the fridge) in a shortcrust pie. All on it's own (except for wine of course....) I've been thinking about this potential pie for some time (- a sort of meatier more substantial pasty) so today is the day.

Monday: Baked Gnocchetti Sardi with meaty bolognese covered by a cheesy sauce .... It is important that bits of pasta stick out a bit through the cheesy sauce ..... with some fresh bread and cheap red.

Next Ocado on Tuesday ..... sad I know.

Have a great weekend everyone .....

Went to a local pizza place that's very good and had their Thai Bhat pizza. It features: Homemade Thai curry sauce, all-natural grilled chicken, roasted garlic, chili pepper, baby corn, straw mushrooms, organic carrots, sharp cheddar, parmesan, fresh ginger & scallions.

Really really good though $20 for a "Medium"

If you're interested: www.lillyspizza.com/.

Parmesan and Thai curry? Could that be the next Walker's flavour of crisps?
