Crab for lunch. Fresh grilled mackerel for dinner, plus a bottle of Macon.

A big bowl of sour cream and chives fake mashed potatoes. I just came from the dentist and my mouth hurts...this hits the spot.

how’s the mouth today - was this a routine dental visit?

Perfect birthday celebration!! I would pick carrot cake for my birthday too. And I might have had something bubbly to go along with brunch but your omelette sounds heavenly. Yum.
Mouth is much better but I keep forgetting not to chew on one side. I had a crown replaced and some deep cleaning which was torture.

Made a chicken for dinner last night

.

Dry brined for 30 hours and then roasted over some sunsugar tomatoes and sliced sweet onion.

Lunch yesterday at The Lobster Shack at the new Pig at Harlyn Bay. Lobster, chips and salad with Gruner Weltliner spritz. Unbeatable - and the weather cooperated.

Back on the keto wagon starting today.

Lunch was keto mug bread, torn into pieces, with baby spinach, a can of tuna, and dressed with EVOO and red wine vinegar.

Charcuterie and maybe a small Greek salad for dinner tonight.

Ham, bacon, scrambled eggs and bechamel on a croissant. My take on the “Toulouse sandwich” from Bennison’s Bakery in Evanston, IL

Hotel room service

Had a real nice hotel breakfast, with all my favorites, delivered to my room. Likely will be my brunch.

Mango juice, with hash browns and beef sausages. Shumai, fruit assortment, beef kretiaw, homestyle brown bread and almond croissants.

A cobb salad from our local Tender Greens.

It's smoky here and there's ash in the air, so not a very pleasant outdoor dining experience.

Grateful to already be in the habit of wearing a mask.

yes - I don’t even want to grill right now. I stovetop cooked Aidell chicken apple sausages for my spouse for luncheon.

plus...
grilled cheese - San Luis sourdough & tillamook medium cheddar and watermelon
grilled cheese - Gayle’s sourdough & tillamook Sharp cheddar & tillamook Swiss and Kettle jalapeño chips

one big benefit of reading about Ian’s paninis - I use my sandwich press for some awesome grilled cheese on our “griddle” pan. Big yay! I’m looking forward to more grilled cheese ideas, like tomatoes, jalapeño, pickle, avocado, etc - not all necessarily together :-)
