Cheers! I always open a good vintage bottle to close out either a bad or good year. It's a win-win!

Started with Veuve Yellow Label. Next we finished off a bottle of Billecart-Salmon Rose. What's next?

(The only reason we started off with the Veuve was because it had been in the refrigerator the longest and was ice cold.)

Veuve Rose - enjoyed it quite a bit. One day I'll finally try the B-S Rose

Don't flame me for posting about California Sparkling , but we opened a bottle of Cubs Championship Brut the other night. I thought it was horrid. The bottle is kinda cool, but other than that, I won't be drinking the other bottle.

Not even with orange juice? I did notice it was $24.95 at Binny's.

A friend got a bottle for Christmas. She texted me, "I'll save for the Champagne party." (We have a Champagne party every spring.)

I told her, "As a novelty item, perhaps. I won't serve it." (This, without having tasted though I wouldn't anyway as it's a Champagne party.)

I didn't even try it with OJ, it was just nasty. My mom liked it though. As a reference, her go to is Korbel.

I'd much rather drink Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle and reminisce about the Cubs season. Which is what I'm doing now at the BA CCR.

Haha, I agree! The Bollinger rosé is nice too (if they still have it, it's been a few years)

I like Korbel too, but I prefer Veuve.

Thoughts about the new "wave" of Champagne on Ice.... here a few big name options...

Moet Chandon Ice Imperial
Pommery Royal Blue Sky
Veuve Clicquot Rich

Mostly night-club and bar scene juice but its slowly coming into the retail segments....

Thoughts...?

I don't understand the question. Let people drink what they like. Are you saying it's not as good?

Mostly marketing, no? The same reason LVMH has glow in the dark Dom labels
