Yellow
Seriously, Vin Jaune (Yellow wine) from the Jura is my favourite wine. Technically it falls into whites I guess, but my beloved Vin Jaune has nothing in common with your average chardonnay.
This is closely followed by dry sparkling roses. I can't get enough of them, whether they're from Champage, Alsace, or Canada (Henry of Pelham makes a gorgeous dry sparkling rose).
But I love both reds and whites, it really depends on what my mood is at the time and what I'll be having with the wine. In general my tastes run more towards old world wines.

That seems to be my experience as well. When I buy for my wife and me it is usually five bottles of red for me for every one bottle of white for her. Interestingly enough she seems to have a much stronger palette than I have, but then again I am on medicine that is messing with my sense of taste. Every red wine I drink tastes sort of metallicy and blood like.

So I'll drink a red wine on a special occasion, or having a nice dinner out, because the headache would have been worth it. Otherwise, if I am just drinking casually at home, it'll probably be a white wine.
Another issue: my husband and I can't stand red wines in the Summer. Just personal taste.

I used to drink only red, but started drinking whites a few summers ago when I decided it was just too damn hot for merlot or anything else not chilled.
I also only drink white at work happy hours, based on the fact that I once spilled red wine on my shirt at such an event.

I have only been drinking wine for a few years, and haven't yet been able to develop a taste for reds in general, so I mostly drink white. Or green - I absolutely adore vinho verde.
And port. :-)

I'm not much of a wine drinker. I don't think my palate is very good or very educated. I've given up drinking it when flying as most of what I've been served on US Airlines is pretty bad. I used to choose red when I did, however.
That said, when I dine with my Father, one of my favorite parts of the meal is spliting a bottle of white with him. He usually picks an expensive bottle of California white and I always enjoy it.

I think you probably know that, I am just clarifying it for the others.

Red and almost exclusively Pinot Noir is my vote.
