Ninkasi Oatis Oatmeal Stout
Ninkasi Sleighr Dark Double Alt Christmas Ale Gulden Draak Vintage Holiday Ale 2009 and finally found it: Goose Island Bourbon County Stout (with much praise from the Bevmo checkout clerk) |
2 hours ago, there was a 750 ml Chimay Blue in there. I'm swallowing the last of it as I type. I grabbed a 6er of Becks Octoberfest while grocery shopping for Grandma BamaVol. I'll know tomorrow night if it's any good.
Thanksgiving, I'll probably be drinking wine at the restaurant and have a cold bottle of prosecco in the fridge for afterwards. Friday, back to beer. We'll be in AVL and probably hit one of the 14 breweries in western NC. First choice would be Highland, but it looks like they're not open. So, Lexington Ave. Brewpub or Oyster House Brewing Co. it will be. |
A couple days ago I had a fridge packed with Tooheys New, and now I'm staring at two bottles of James Boag because I'm in a hotel room. :)

Yes, I found that to be very good as well. I tried the Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale last weekend and it was tasty, but a bit lighter than I normally like for beer to be. It would be a great summer ale. Still, this particular brewery seems to put out a consistently good product...and I love the art-work on the 6-packs and bottles. LOL. Reminds me of Rolling Stone and Hunter S. Thompson.

Anyone else a fan of Trader Joe's anniversary ale? It's a specially brewed dark ale from Unibroue, made specifically for TJ that comes out around the holiday season. I'm still holding a few bottles from 2007, 2008, and 2009 (the last 2007 one will have to be downed pretty soon). Last year's batch was a bit disappointing, but I'm hoping age will help smooth out the flavor.
Eagerly anticipating the 2010 edition. On that note, does anyone know when it'll actually be in stores? |
Goose Island 312, a 12-pack of Spotted Cow and a few other New Glarus Brews.

I trust my Dad to do a beer run without me and he comes back with a six pack of Ed Hardy "Premium" Beer
At least he also got two six packs of Two Below ^ |
Alley Kay Amber beer, a fine beer from a smaller local brewer. ^

Well a friend came over to our house this morning and asked if he can put his one bottle Molson in my fridge during the whole time he is at my home which I said is fine. Problem is when he left just before lunch time, he forgot to take it. So now right now I can safely say I have one Molson bottle in my fridge right now and will remain that way until he decides to come back for or if I bring it back for him.
