Picked up a Watermelon Dorado from Ballast Point today. Seems like BP is really going on a kick with these infused beers (I have seen beers with grapefruit, pineapple, and habanero from them as well). I will say that my favorite infused beer is definitely anything with blood orange in them...I think Flying Dog has a beer (Bloodline) that I really like that uses oranges in their IPA.
ETA: Drinking one of the Watermelon Dorados right now. I don't really think Dorado as a DIPA on its own really stands out much, but it's actually quite good with the watermelon overlay - adds a very light fruitiness on top of what is a more harsh base flavor. |
An 8-pack Old Milwaukee.

Got a growler of Troegs Nugget Nectar on Friday. Good stuff.

Had a Tocobaga red ale from Cigar City last night. Very interesting beer. Like what would a Killians taste like if it were an IPA? Also tried a Ranger last night and I must say I don't think New Belgium is ever going to brew another Fat Tire. The rest of their stable is pretty run of the mill, IME.

Drinking a Ruby Mountain Angel Creek Amber Ale. Made in Clover Valley, NV, pretty tasty stuff I first had at a nice little bar in Elko, NV while I was driving through.

A friend turned me on to Alpine Beer Company's Duet. Quickly becoming an all-time favorite.

Right now we've got some Shock Top Belgian White and Blue Moon Peach Ale

The 2015 version of the Goose County Bourbon County Stout is insanely delicious.

I celebrated by having Blue Moon (lunch did not have many options), then trying out Mississippi Mud (decent for a Black & Tan) and then putting myself to sleep with an Arrogant B@$tard

Bells Oarsman Ale. I may or may not still have a stash of Oberon from last year ;)

I spent the day in Apalachicola. Began with a shrimp po boy and pints of Oyster City Brewing Company IPA at a favorite restaurant overlooking the bay. Then spent the afternoon on a sunny bench in front of the brewery drinking more of the same. Drove home and took a 4 hour nap.
