I still don't have a beer fridge :(

But I had I nice large glass of Squatter's Emigration Amber Ale earlier this evening at their brewery/restaurant downtown. It was very good. Good enough that I don't need a beer fridge -- I work under the C concourse at SLC, and there is a Squatter's pub next to gate C3. My SIDA badge gets me 10% off. I think I am set :D

For the 8th straight year, Three Floyds is either #1 or #2 brewery in the world per RateBeer. They drop to #2 after 4 years at #1, as Hill Farmstead Brewery ascends to the top.

http://www.3floyds.com/2013/02/01/were-2-were-2/

As always, any FTer who finds himself/herself in Chicagoland and wants to make a run to FFF is encouraged to contact me. I live less than 10 miles away.

Have fun at Dark Lord. My ATL brother is flying here one-way next month and driving a car full of FFF back to ATL. This is how he wants to use his free day from National.

Nice! Could he bring you some Sweetwater and Dogfish Head? Though if you're close enough to IL, you can get Dogfish there - those of us stuck in the middle of IN have had to hoard.

Just did an inventory of the beer closet - have close to 60 bottle of Rogue Dead Guy, Juniper IPA, St. Rogue, and 10 Penny. And just had a friend bring up some Yuengling from ATL.

Actually I am over the border in IL. Access to Binny's near here is easy and a godsend; 1500 different beers in one spot is a sight to behold.

I tried some Sweetwater once and was not impressed. 60/90 Minute Dogfish is excellent, but most of their experimental beers just seem weird to me.

LOVE Binny's! Managed to visit it for the 1st time a cpl months ago and walked out with about $250 in beer

If you happen to notice, LMK when DFH Aprihop hits the shelves.

Mr. Kipper found Binny's while he was out there, and was almost overwhelmed! He still talks about it. :)

I got a little homesick for Cali beers and stocked up the other day:

Double Daddy
Racer 5
Anchor Steam

I do have to say: I was happy to find them in NYC but gosh are they expensive out here! Anyone have a good NYC beer store rec. aside from Good Beer? I've been there and I like it but it's more convenient for me to go to Brooklyn than get to the East Village via public transportation.

After about 10 days, FFF has Zombie Dust back in stock.

http://www.3floyds.com/wp-content/up...-beer-menu.htm

Called my buddy and he's abandoning his family for a couple hours so we can make a run! 2 cases each, plus bombers of whatever else they have in stock. Woo-hoo!
