First time at the SAN Sky Club yesterday. Very nice!

Overheard announcement in SC that DL 403 SAN-JFK was now delayed until 8pm arriving in JFK at 4:01am. Ouch.

First galley had ice, so a mimosa helped make up for the delay.
Mimosa? Were you attempting to fly to someplace warm as tropical like Hawaii?

MAEN!

It was 17°F when I left the house today. At least we only got an inch or so of snow in the storm on Friday. I didn't even bother shoveling the driveway, but my sister (about 50 miles south) in the Salt Lake valley got knee deep snow.

It's bad at MSP today. It started snowing at the end of rush hour and isn't showing any signs of stopping. The forecast for the metro area is about eight inches, but I've seen predictions go up to fifteen.

At MSP, more than 350 flights have been cancelled. They're using the crosswind runways and must close one every half hour for the plows.Of delayed flights, the average delay is reported to be six hours.

To the south and west, travel isn't advised at all while evening rush hour is a total mess.

ADDED: My desktop internet connection doesn't like the blizzard either.

Thanks. My office is moderately warm and I don't intend to leave until long after rush hour is over. More importantly, my car is in a nice sheltered garage, so I won't have to dig it out tonight.

I sometimes use Avios for last-minute short-hauls, but I'd never spend money on AA. I do it less now that my matched OW status is dead.

Speed limit. Actual speed is far closer to 80 for most.

I don't go that fast because it ruins my fuel economy.
