Flew next to Cuba Gooding Jr. up front from ATL-LAX a few months ago. He was doing a pitch for IBM at some off sight thing in the Caribbean and connected through ATL home. Very nice guy. Talked a lot about his family when he wasn't leaning forward and glued to the IFE screen watching movies.

Former Laker and NBA World Champion Rick Fox was on my LAX-ATL flight on 1/14 (2254). He was signing autographs and taking photos in the gate area and jetway before the flight and finally took his seat in F.

DCA-ATL I sat next to Cal Thomas, USA Today's "conservative" columnist who writes a Thursday column with his liberal "friend" Bob something or other. Maybe not a celebrity, but someone known to USA Today readers, which I suppose is limited solely to Hotel Dwellers.

Met Dick Blumenthal (new Senator from CT) last night at DCA. Also saw Congressman Boswell (D. Iowa). Maybe politicians in DCA don't count, but I thought it was kind of cool that both were flying in Y (Boswell was 1 on the list for an upgrade but did not clear).
